When I read some of the reviews on TA and Yelp, I was a bit concerned about the noise level. Sure, it was a bit louder than the usual but it was due to a busy, happening restaurant. I hardly noticed the trains zipping overhead.
the food was good and plentiful. The princess had lobster benedict and my plate was overflowing with a combo that included eggs, ham and french toast. Don't come if you're not hungry! The best part of this restaurant was the attentive service of Barbara. She was only there when you needed her. Read that again--aren't you tired of servers who only come around when you don't need them--like after you've taken one bite and they want to know if all is ok. Well, Barbara was there to offer more coffee, water, ask if we wanted anything else. She was quick and efficient. The tables are close so you hear other conversations. One of those conversations is what set Barbara apart in my book. A father with two young kids paid his bill but his card was denied. Barbara's compassion and tact in handling this situation was touching. I only knew what was going on because the dad's voice was louder. So Barbara, thank you for doing a good deed when no one was supposed to know!
