Arrived at the hotel and it looked lovely. We paid a small amount extra and were given the end room of the river view rooms. Each has a table and chair outside so it was great to sit there with a beer or two and watch the sun set. Room was large as was the bathroom and also had a powerful shower. Continental breakfast buffet overlooking the river but it was enough to start the day. Local supermarket (Macs), is a 10 minute walk away and it includes a liquor store for wine and beers. As you pay in advance, check out is simply leaving your key at the desk... so it is really easy. Hillwinds is well placed for the short drive to the Cannon Mountain.

Recently stayed at the Hillwinds for 4 nights. Price was very reasonable, amenities were standard for this type of hotel and area, staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were neat and clean and it was QUIET. We did not hear neighbors at all. I would recommend Hillwinds to all!

We are yearly visitors to the area, and we usually stayed either in Bethlehem at a family colony, or at a major hotel in nearby towns. But we were glad to find out about "Hillwinds Lodge", where we enjoyed our stay.

The room, the beds, the linen, even the carpet and everything else in the room, as well as the whole property, and the pool and area, everything is really clean, and well taken care of.

We took 2 rooms at the river front, and enjoyed the nature tranquil setting, we ate dinner and breakfast on the picnic table in front of the river, enjoyed the pool, and late evening sat around a nice relaxing camp-fire at the fireplace area in center of the property.

There are 2 hiking trails just in back of the property, that we didn't have the chance yet to check out, as we headed out to the areas major attractions, but would love to check out when we come back.

The hosts are here to please and accommodate, and it made our stay a pleasure, and most definitely plan to return in the future g-d wiling.
