“Nice addition to the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2010

This hotel is very new and very nice. It is a must stay in the area and is much better than the Fairfield across the street. Nice staff and clean comfortable rooms.

Thank you very much! We are the newest hotel in the area, just over 6 months old. We take great pride in our staff and their enthusiasm and willingness to help. We also put high importance on the cleanliness of our rooms so we appreciate you mentioning those points.

Service: Every member of the staff was really helpful and kind about everything, including holding my dog's leash while I ran into the dining room for a piece of toast. They were always ready with advice about the area. Even though it was Thanksgiving, the overall attitude was one of interest and enthusiasm towards the guests. We mentioned a rattling noise when the heater was turned on, and within 30 minutes the maintenance person had checked it out and replaced the entire unit with a quiet one.

Facilities: Very comfortable and clean. The lounge is comfortable, with tables to eat at, a high table for working at, and sofas by a gas fireplace. There's a small gym with great cardio machines, a lap pool and whirlpool with lounge chairs, and a quiet computer room.

Rooms: A little trendy, with farmhouse sinks in the bathrooms, geometric lamps and flatscreen tvs. I appreciated the art photographs of Exeter instead of generic hotel pictures. The beds were very comfortable.

It's worth noting that although the hotel is within walking distance of the town hospital, it's on the opposite side of the building from the emergency entrance, so you never hear sirens. We were there to be with a family member in the hospital, and were very, very grateful for the quiet atmosphere, the flexibility, and the truly pet-friendly environment.

Thank you so much for the kind words about our staff and hotel. We love being here and taking care of our guests (especially the four legged ones!) We truly appreciate you bringing the issue with the heater to our attention so that we could remedy the situation and you could enjoy the rest of your stay. Thank you for noting the photography though out the hotel. We are really fortunate and loving having images of Exeter and being a part of this great community. Thank you also for noting the quietness of the hotel. We are located near the hospital and on a main road, but we take pride in having quiet rooms for our guests to relax in.

Just stayed at the Hampton Inn for a couple of nights while in Exeter on business. Everything was very well done from the very friendly and helpful front desk staff, housekeeping and breakfast staff. (Thank you Dan from the front desk for the dinner recommendation!) The location was very convenient and easy to locate. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Keep up the good work!

Great addition to the dearth of hotel beds in Exeter. Usually, we prefer to stay at the Exeter Inn after its renovation. For PEA's Parents' Weekend, that was not an option and we stayed at the totally new Hampton Inn.
We're very happy with it. Nicely sized room (King Suite); very clean (no wonder, after it's been open only for a few months). Breakfast is free. Easy and free connectioni to their Wireless network.
So, all in all, a very good alternative.

Thank you so much, we truly appreciate the feedback. We had a great time on PEA Parents Weekend getting to know the students and their parents better. We have been open just a few months, but cleanliness is one of our top priorities all the time. We are glad you are so pleased with your stay and we hope to see you back again for other PEA events!

Beautiful new clean rooms. The staff are all very nice and helpful. It's a convenient location, walking distance to town and Phillips Exeter Academy. Lots of dining options in walking distance.

We were the first guests to stay at the Hampton Inn in Exeter, NH. So of course, we were treated like Royalty. We arrived on Wednesday, and the rest of our party arrived on Friday for a Hockey Tournament. We stayed in a suite. The Rooms were spacious, and clean.
Everything is new. There is a big screen TV, which my kids loved. Refrigerator, and microwave. We had two queens, and a pullout couch. perfect for a family.
Breakfast was good, and convenient. Nice Pool and hot tub. The hotel is convenient to the downtown Exeter, and 15 minutes from Portsmouth and the beach areas. There are lots of convenient stores and dunkin donuts within a 2 minute walk. The staff was over the top in service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, but expecially familes traveling with children. Loved It.
