“Great service and amazing owners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

We stayed in one of the housekeeping rooms for 3 nights. The room is basic motel but they have wireless internet, everything is clean and conmfortable. The owners are great people who want to make sure you enjoy your stay. As they also own Paradise Point Cottage right on Lake Umbagog - if you stay at the motel - you get a berth for your boat right on the lake. Ricky Blais was so helpful to my husband - he made our stay so enjoyable - we will be back next year hopefully for a longer stay. Errol is a beautiful area and the people there are great. If you love the outdoors you can never be bored.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Errol Motel. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. The room was a decent size with a northwoods decor and a refrigerator. The room was very clean and looked freshly remodeled. Free wi-fi was included which was a big plus. It was a good value and we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here on route to Monhegan Island, Maine, coming from Ontario. This motel features very friendly, helpful service, reasonable prices, and super clean rooms with woodsy/cottagey character. There is a restaurant / pub within walking distance down the road, a small grocery, and an outdoor outfitter type shop to prowl in across the street. Definitely will be back!

Errol is a curious place for the city dweller. My kids literally lost it when on the way into town they saw both a moose and a bear. Its a place where you need not be in a rush, where people eat early, and where the general store hasn't changed for 120 years. Errol Motel is a small but cozy place. The rooms which are very clean are all in wood, which give them a cozy feeling. The owner is very kind and helpful. He will direct the wayward traveler towards a place to eat or something to see. The room we had didn't have a bathtub which might be a problem if you are traveling with small children. In conclusion, it is a great traveling motel for those passing through. And not to expensive. Rooms might be a little small if you are staying longer. The owner is great.

Wonderful place to immerse yourself in the Great North Woods. Clean, comfy, quiet. Lots to do. Moose in all directions, great restaurant nearby, big North Woods store to explore, wonderful owners treat you like kin. What more could you want? Whippoorwills and loons at night? Got that too.

Motel looked like an older place but the inside was like new. My guess would be the owner did the maintenance and remodeling work and it is very nice work. The owner was nice as we arrived late but he was waiting on us because we had tried to call several times but cell coverage was scanty up in the mountains. Additionally we expected to pick up something to eat at a local eatery or store. Wrong answer! In late March, there is nothing open in town around 8:30 PM. The owner was very gracious and offered us an unopened bag of Frito's from his kitchen pantry. Great people.

Warning - Don't plan on eating late and be prepared for snow in late March.

I can't say enough good things about my stays (3) at this wonderful motel. The rooms are bright, airy, comfy, practical and above all SPOTLESS! The owners are on sight 24/7 and are at your complete disposal for whatever you should need ( even helping fix a flat tire ). I enjoyed each and every stay and will return many times again for some awesome trout fishing. The motel is well located for the many outdoor activities available in the area. This is the spot to stay.
