“Fresh Scallops”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Stopped by last night to get something else on the menu: steamed muscles—they are the best I have ever had from Mass to NH.

But, Chef Brian told me the Catch of the Day—scallops—were very fresh and tasting fantastic. Mike fixed me up with a glass of wonderful Malbec that complimented my dinner very nicely. The scallops were seared perfectly and were well paired with their smashed potatoes and vegetables. This was one of my best meals, ever!

“Excellent and a little pricey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

The food is excellent at Zampa. They always have duck on the menu and the preparation varies from night to night. The pommes frites are some of my favorites and come with a tasty dipping sauce. The breadsticks/dipping sauce they bring with your drinks are actually pretty good too! The prices are a bit high and it is small and cramped. When they first opened, you could walk in and get a table. If you try to do that now, they give you a funny look - reservations are now a must for this place! It is pricey - expect $30 a plate for your entrees. Add on drinks, appetizer and dessert and it adds up pretty quick. Service can be slow.

“Creative Menu Choices...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

This was our first Zampa experience though we live nearby...not sure why we didn't try it sooner...
When we were seated my wife and I both remarked that it was a lot like The Salvation Cafe in Newport RI...a long time favorite of ours...We ordered the Romaine Wedge Salad to share and it was both good and enough for two...My wife ordered the eggplant parm which was delicately delicious and enough for two to share...I ordered the PEI mussels app as an entree...They were beautifully small, tender and nicely presented in a cheese shallott garlic sauce...yummy...overall a nice night out close to home...

“Very eclectic dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Enjoyed our meal at this very eclectic restaurant. Very easy going atmosphere. Food is very good, especially for the area. With drinks...a little pricey.

“Much much better than you'd expect from the look outside”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is very good. Creative menu (i.e. not just the same old chicken, salmon and steak) with some local ingredients. Clearly the chef is talented at both cooking and food combinations. The decor is simple but if you are in this area and looking for something other than pizza this is the place.
