My husband and I just returned from a night at the Shaker Hill Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful time. We were in the area looking for vacation property and stayed at the Shaker Hill on the recommendation of the realtor. Nancy ( the owner) was wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were all occupied, which led to interesting conversation at breakfast, which was wonderful! Fresh fruit and yogurt to start, followed by scones made that morning by Nancy and a hot egg dish. The location is great. Close to Dartmouth College and Hanover, ( we wished we had discoverd this when our son was a student there!) as well as lakes, and charming VT and NH towns. Our room was nicely decorated with hand crafted Shaker furniture and supplied with all the ammenities you would need to have a comfortable stay. My husband and I both highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to any who enjoy warm hospitality, good breakfasts and pleasant company, not to mention Willy, their wonderful dog!

We stayed here for three nights in August, 2003. This was one of the nicest bed and breakfast establishments we have ever visited. The house is well maintained and has four double rooms, all with private bath, and all beatifully decorated in colonial style with lovely furniture, fabrics, and wallpapers. All kinds of nice touches were provided, such as toiletries, a hair dryer, magazines, chocolates on the bureau, area maps, and a cozy guest lounge. The breakfasts were outstanding with fresh home-baked scones, fruit platters, and a hot entree every morning. A great place to stay and relax - have only the most positive comments to make about it.
