“Best Bakery in the North Country”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Leavitt's may not look like much from the outside, but once you step inside, it's a baker's delight! They have numerous types of hand cut doughnuts (my favorites are the chocolate glazed and honey glazed ones). They also have tons of homemade specialty pastries: apple fritters; fruit bars; pies; turnovers. There is a small case of cold drinks (milk, juice) and hot coffee, too. Everything is top notch, and the staff is always very friendly. You can pick up a copy of the daily paper, too!

In the summer, there is a vegetable stand right next door that shares the same parking lot. In the fall, they sell pumpkins. Towards the holidays, there are nice Christmas trees for sale.

“back in time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

leavitt's is the only place where you can get a cup of coffee for under a buck! add to that a wide assortment of made on the site pastries pies and cookies. its open from 4 in the morning till late afternoon. the pastries are delicious, fresh and very reasonable. a fig square and a cup of coffee and a seat out front in the sun is all you need to start or finish your day in the valley

“THE BEST!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Leavitt's is THE best bakery for miles and miles around. The folks who own Leavitt's put their heart and soul into the business and it shows. It may be a hole in the wall, but walk through the door and be dazzled the treats in front of you. If you're lucky enough to score some of their legendary doughnuts and fritters, you've hit the lottery. The breakfast sandwich (on a croissant, for me, please!) is really good, too! Get your fresh oatmeal bread at Leavitt's and then head across the parking lot to Whittakers Farm Stand for tomatoes and lettuce for the perfect base to a summer sandwich!

“Awesome!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

This bakery has been in Conway for years. We haven't visited in a while so we had to go there first. Their homemade donuts are "to die for!" They are absolutely the BEST! We bought soo many during one weeks time that I can't tell you how many I ate. But believe me it was well worth it!!! Also they make the best jelly rolls. We will definitely be back on our next trip north.

“You have to stop and get something here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

We have a seasonal campsite at Eastern Slope and walked over to Leavitt's Bakery to get breakfast one morning. Now it is part of our trip!
Everything that we have bought is amazing. So far we have tried the egg/cheese bagel sandwiches, apple pie, doughnuts and turnovers. I typically don't care about doughnuts but these are different; they are hand cut and fresh. Even the coffee was great. The prices are reasonable as well. Just make sure that you get there before noon on Sunday because they close early.

I know that they also sell Frye's famous sandwiches but I have not tried them yet. They were sold out this weekend.
