“Beautiful spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

We had a quiet spot back in the woods in late June, $27 for the two of us. From reviews I've seen of other campgrounds, it sounds like some places get more rowdy and have people everywhere. Happily, the cove was not like that. We found that it was small, friendly, woodsy, quiet and clean. We rented the boats for a couple of hours and Conway lake was just beautiful - really, really nice. It was just a very nice spot to have a friendly campout. :)

Room Tip: The sites on the backside sit next to a beautiful forest. The sites by the lake looked nice too, al...

We stayed here for a night and got a campsite with a lake view. The space is very small and we are just next to the next camper. For the price of $52, I feel that it is expensive. This campsite is good if you canoe and fish. If I were to stay here again, I'll get the campsite at the forest for the price of $26.

The shower rooms are clean but old and need refurbishing.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2010

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in August. We liked that it was on Conway Lake and that they rented canoes and rowboats. Nice small beach, only $9 an hour to rent a boat. Beautiful lake with great fishing! Were not thrilled with our tent site. Very small, and fire pit was located in such a place that it was only a couple feet from our car. Had to park on the side of the road to have a fire. Only about 25 feet between sites, with no tree cover. We happened to have noisy and nosy neighbors that played music all night and kept staring at us. The staff was VERY friendly and the bathrooms and showers were clean, and free. Would stay again but would ask to pick our site, as some of them we saw were even worse than the one we had.

My bf and I stayed here for one night (campsite B - tent), near the entrance and showers. It was our first time and we found it to be very pleasant. Check-in was great and the staff friendly. They had a movie (Dark Knight) showing that night at 8pm for campers but we didn't partake in that. Our campsite was good. It was a slow weekend so there were no campers on either side of us so it was pretty quiet. However if it was crowded we would had been able to hear them. The campsites are pretty close together.

One of my criterias was a clean bathroom. Theirs wasn't bad. 3 shower stalls in the women's side. They had a board that you could put down in the stall to either sit on as a bench or put your toiletries/towels/clothes on. Great use of space! There are hooks too on the stall door. Great water pressure too and HOT water. Nice!

The lake was about a minute away from our campsite on foot. Right past the camp office. There's a small sandy beach there and a floating dock in the middle of the lake. We didn't swim too far out as there were motor boats on the lake.

The campground is close to the outlets/shopping, restaurants, mini golf, and more - about a 5 min drive or less. There's a playground at the entrance for kids as well. Great central location where you feel like you are camping but if you need civilization you are close to it as well.

Great campground and recommended.
