“Wonderful experience - great room, dinner and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

My wife and I recently spent a wonderful weekend at the Adair Inn. The Inn Keepers were great people and gracious hosts. The room was quaint and cozy and the dinner was fabulous. I have already recommended the Inn to all my friends and we plan to visit the Inn every year.

We have been wanting to stat at Adair for some time, but it was always seemed to be booked, I take that as a good sign! Finally, for my husband's birthday in January we were able to reserve a room for our 2 night's stay. We arrived around 7:00 PM on Friday night. Tina and Brad were waiting for us and even met us a the door to help with our bags. While we were checking in and getting a tour of the magnificent Inn, our bags were taken up to our room, the Waterford. This was a pleasant surprise that we were not expecting. This was an upgrade to the room we originally reserved. Not only was it spaciously , but elegantly appointed with a gas fireplace and a huge soaking tub, that came in quite handy after our day of skiing on Saturday. One of the things that I liked the most about Adair, is that there are no TVs in the rooms, only in the Cellar. But they have an iPod docking station and an iPod filled with beautiful eclectic music of all types which I understand that Brad the Innkeeper meticulous picks himself. A very nice touch!
Tina was a great help in recommending a couple of local restaurants after our long drive up from Boston. We were saving dining at the Inn for the next evening. She also provided us with discount passes at the ski area we were going to on Saturday.
The breakfast each morning was delicious and unique, Brad is the morning chef! I noticed that they were very accommodating to another guest that has a food allergy. When we returned from skiing, there was a roaring fire in the main living room with an assortment of teas and hot cider and a delicious apple tart that was the Inn keeper, Ilja’s grandmother’s recipe.

Dinner that evening was fantastic in the romantic dining room with another roaring fire. After dinner, we enjoyed a bottle of wine in the cellar and played a game of pool on the antique pool table.
We are definitely looking to go back, perhaps in the summer this time.
I highly recommend Adair. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: I highly recommend the rooms withe the soaking tubs.

My husband and I visited recently and had the most relaxed, wonderful time at the Adair Inn. We were welcomed at the door and treated with warmth and respect the entire time we were there. Everyone working here is happy and it shows in many ways. Attention to detail, care and quality is evident everywhere, I felt cared for on many levels. Service here is relaxed but outstanding. In the restaurant, special needs are considered with the utmost care, we did not need any dietary considerations but I overheard another couple thank the breakfast chef for creating a delicious meal for someone else who I believe said that they were gluten free and vegan...oh and if you are a tea drinker with distaste for coffee, you will be pleased that the water for tea does not taste like coffee in the least. If you decide to stay here then I recommend that you spend as much time as you can right at the inn. There is much to do. The game room is awesome and there are trails all around. I regret that we could not spend more time here. It was wonderful.

Christmas in New England is second to none. The snow, a very comfortable, elegant Inn, and our very attentive hostess and host, Ilja and Brad Chapman, made our stay a pleasant one. The restaurant is a culinary delight. My wife and I needed to get away for the holiday and choosing Adair was a very intelligent decision. I would strongly recomend my fellow Trip Advisor readers to find time to visit Adair. Thank you, Ilja and Brad, for honoring our Military. B.H. & K. H. Buford, GA

Room was stately and the food was fantastic. I have just started to seek these type of inns out in the past few years and while the scale was smaller than my stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, is was equally as elegant. (After narrowning my search where to go this New Years, I chose the Adair over Mt. Washington hotel and did not regret it a second) The roaring 20's party put us over the top to choose Adair. We had a great time.

If you don't have a party to go here for... the food should get your vote for sure. Food and Service were amazing. Others more qualified will write about it better than I but I will say it was fantastic. A "foodies" restaurant.

I personally loved the huge bedroom with no TV. it was very peaceful with the fireplace and the soak-tub. We went to the Granite Room frequently to mingle with other guests, watch a little TV and played lots of pool on the fantastic pool table that is nearly 90 years old. The nearby towns of both Littleton and Bethlehem offer lots to do and we loved them and the Inn enough to decide to go back this summer!

Everything was just great from the moment we arrived until we left. Warm welcome, great rooms, extra details with the finishing touch, really pleasant. The lounge where you can sit in front of the fireplace and really feel at home just made the stay complete. The surroundings are great and the food is very good. We will really come back if possible, and will recommend Adair Inn to everybody we know going to New Hamshire.

This is a beautiful, immaculate inn on a fantastic piece of property. Cozy rooms, cozy sitting area in front of a roaring fire, and fantastic food for both breakfast and dinner. The staff is extremely warm and accomodating. This is a prefect weekend getaway for a couple. You do not have to leave the inn. Will return.
