“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2014

We spent a Sat-Sat week here. The only staff I interacted with was the front desk. They were courteous and helpful.
The Village is directly across from Attitash Mtn, with a underground walkway connecting the two so you dont have to cross the busy road.

The room was small but comfortable. Our room had a standard refrigerator and microwave, and a condo size oven/cooktop and dishwasher. The room also had enough dishes, utensils and cookware for our family of four.

The double size murphy bed was very comfortable, and the pull out sofa bed was great for the kids.

Noise was not a problem, with the exception of when the upstairs unit would open their sliding balcony door.

Outside we hiked the trails on the grounds to the Saco river, where we splashed around while others went for a swim. We went to both the indoor and outdoor pools. We also played on the tennis courts and playscapes.

There are several community gas grills throughout. Of course some guests have different standards of what it means to leave it clean, but the grill I used was not unusable.

While on property we saw bears raiding the dumpsters. Unfortunately again, some guests just do not understand why they need to secure/clean up. There are plenty of signs and locks, but some people just dont understand.

Overall the facility was clean and inviting. I did notice small maintenance issues, which did not detract from out visit. This included slow drains in the bathroom, screen door that did not close tightly, door stops that were broken, and other similar small inconveniences.

I really enjoyed my time in NH this year. Having a safe, convenient, and friendly place to come "home" to made it that much better.
I am hoping to return next summer, and would recommend this location to anyone.

Booked a trip though RCI for four nights and the only available unit was a no frills hotel style room. After reading other reviews we waited until after 4PM to check in and was given a friendly welcome by Alysia and the keys to our unit, Our first impression was oh no this is small but as we got into the room housekeeping hadn't cleaned it yet but it was entered into the system as having been done. With a little apprehension we went back to the front desk and Alysia turned us over to Jonathan who is a very take charge guy with a lot of presence at the front desk. He stepped away for a minute and came back with the best words a resort guest could hear-"complimentary upgrade"!!! The unit is described by RCI as "partial kitchen" but it was enough as the resort had plenty of gas and charcoal grills for guests to use all over the property. Our unit was in the Chocoura Building and it was up to date comfortable and clean as it could possibly be. We caught a glimpse of the complete unit in our building and this resort really looks like a place where you get what you pay for, all the comforts of home combined with great resort amenities. Great pool and hot tub areas with playgrounds for the kids and activities every day. Not unusual to see an occasional bear but the staff is well trained to keep the guests safe. A little out of the way of the North Conway traffic and congestion but right across the street from the Attitash Alpine Slide and the Mountain Coaster and close proximity to most of the eastern White Mountain attractions. We found the staff to be very professional, pleasant and very hospitality oriented. We traveled with a five year old and were happy to stay onsite for most of the four days. This place is well worth the trip and we are already planning a summer visit in 2015

There are many different configurations of units; this visit we had a sleep 8/6 privately unit which actually consisted of 2 lock-out units, a studio sleeping 4 and a one bedroom sleeping 4. The unit had two full kitchens and identical jetted tub bathrooms. We were located in the Stanton Building with upgraded granite counters and baths. The units were clean and well-maintained, however, there was still a sense of its old 1980's styling from the wall pictures and draperies, but this had no affect on the quality of our stay. Check-in was quick and painless, as was check-out. Used the pool daily and it was wonderful; clean and always able to find a lounge chair in spite of the folks that go down to the pool early morning to put towels on "their" loungers and then show up hours later (I dislike this "entitlement attitude). Also not a fan of young children being allowed in the Jacuzzi...its not good for their heart health and not inviting for Adults without children.
We ate one meal at the on-site restaurant and thought the food and service was good and the prices reasonable. Again, I would return again.

Room Tip: Stanton Lodge is beside the outdoor pool.

Just recently visited for the first time during the summer and was amazed at all the activities that abound at this time of year. As a timeshare owner at this resort I only vacationed here in the fall and winter months in the past. I was definitely surprised to experience along with my family and especially my grandson all the exciting activities for all ages. The resort does uphold a clean & friendly atmosphere, although the pool area can be somewhat crowded. The beds could be more toward the firmer side and the pullouts are awful. TIP: Do bring your own pillow!

Room Tip: If you are traveling with more than 2-4 adults do yourself a favor and get a 2 bedroom. You do not w...

The property is very well maintained and the units are clean and have everything you need. There are outdoor gas grills all over the property so you don't need to bring one.The outdoor pool/hot tub is very nice, however the is small children in the hot tub all of the time making it undesirable for adults. There is no adult hours for the pool area so there is always allot of children. There are many things to do in the area so you should not have any problem finding things to do. The food and service at Matty B's is just OK.

Bad news: real wildcard for accommodations. You cannot be sure what accommodations you'll get.

" 2 bedroom" may be
1 bedroom with real bed & sofa bed in living room
or 2 bedrooms, one real bed & other murphy bed
or 2 bedrooms, one loft real bed but no full bath, middle level real bed and full bath & lowest level has full bath.

The guest has no control over these decisions. Add in that you MUST reserve only in 7 day increments. RCI will help you reserve additional days but the Attitash Mountain Village front desk points out small print that the unit owner may decide to use the property and the guest will have to move to an equivalent "2 bedroom" property. Check-out 10 am; check-in 4pm - guest's problem.

I made my reservations 7 months in advance and called to confirm a week before arrival. Hardcopy in hand - still ran into check-in desk wall.

Good news: Really pretty area of White Mountains close enough to COG train to Mt. Washington's peak, Echo Lake for hiking and warm(-ish) swimming, Cathedral Ledge for easy, short hike to panoramic view and Diana's Baths for 0.6 mile easy hike to cold, cascades and pools. Lots more outdoor activities of all levels available.

Room Tip: no way to guarantee room choice, types of bed arrangements vary enormously and some do not meet indu...

Dear Eacoy,

Thank you for your most recent stay with us at Attitash Mountain Village as well as taking the time to detail your experience through TripAdvisor. We are incredibly fortunate to be located in such a beautiful area and have such great attractions (such as the White Mountains and Conway Scenic Railroad) just a stones’ throw away from the resort.

We are saddened to hear your unit experience was not as you had anticipated. The resort has over 400 units and each unit is a little bit different. Larger units such as the 2 Bedroom you stayed in often consist of multiple units that combine together. The set-ups could include Sico Murphy Beds, Temper-pedic sleeper sofas and traditional mattress beds. Every room is different and we try very hard to meet everyone’s expectations and desired room set-ups. When booking with RCI, it can be difficult to know exactly what you are getting. We always recommend calling the resort directly once the reservation is booked with RCI. Our agents should be able to give more details as to the set-up of the unit, how many floors and an idea of the location on the property. Our resort runs on the RCI weeks program which divides units up into 7 day increments. Depending on the busyness of the resort, it can sometimes be difficult to keep guests in the same unit if reservations are booked for more than 7 days. The resort tries our very best to inconvenience our guests as little as possible however RCI should have made you aware of this possible scenario when booking.

Again, please accept our sincerest apologies for the confusion in room set-up. Someone at the resort is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if there are any questions or concerns anytime before, during or after stays. If you would like to discuss anything in further detail please feel free to contact us. Thank you.
