“Very pleasant Inn set back from the road”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

I am writing this review because I really liked the Bartlett Inn. The owners were so nice and the breakfast as very good as well. We had once of the most reasonable rooms and I have to say it was nice. We were in a one cottage that housed three rentals. Two in the front and one in the back. For this one you do have to walk up a few steps but if possible it is worth it. Two rocking chairs on the porch for each rental and a roof overhead if it rains. I have only one thing to say about this Inn and it isn't because I was unhappy but because I want people to know if you like kids you will like this place. I didn't even think when I booked it that Story Land was so close and they even have a Story Land package. So needless to say there were little ones all over the place. Nice pool small but warm enough for my husband to go in so that was great. We would go back there again if up in the North Conway area. Speaking of North Conway it is only 15 minutes from Bartlett.

This place is really good.
Cleanliness, discretion and kindness of the owners make you feel right at home.
The morning brunch was very good, and tips for hiking the day, excellent.

We will come back very quickly.

The Bartlett Inn is perfectly situated in the White Mountains - close to Mt. Washington and in a serene setting. The owners are fun, friendly, and accommodating. Their dog "Noodles" is a bundle of cuteness - in my opinion, an Inn would not be complete without a 4-legged. My room was outstanding. Everything was squeaky clean and as pictured (Room #5). We could not have been happier. Breakfast was delicious and healthy, it was fun to meet other guests at that time especially a couple we sat with from Amsterdam. I wish we had time to use the beautiful pool! I plan to return next year.

Room Tip: Stay more than one night - you won't want to leave! Room #5 first floor off the porch - quiet wi...

We found this gem via these reviews, and this year was our 2nd year. My 7 yr old daughter and I Love it! The Hospitality is A+++ as are the accommodations - Our cabin, cozy, clean, quiet -home away from home! Was Wonderful after an entire day at story land to only drive 6 miles to our cabin, unpack and hit the pool. The Value is incredible, the owners friendly and accommodating and the location is perfect as it is close to everything. Having an 11am checkout is perfect because you do not have to rush and the breakfast which is included is fantastic! I wont stay anywhere else!

We are repeat visitors to The Bartlett Inn and are never disappointed. The updates are spectacular and Miriam, Nick and Sam make you feel like family. The staff are all courteous and friendly. The pool is a great way to either start the day or unwind after a day of action. There are no words to describe the breakfast. Trust me you will not be disappointed. We have stayed in the house and cottages and can't decide which we prefer as both are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The grounds are well groomed but you still feel nestled into the mountains. Great play ground for my children and the inn keeper's daughter Sam is as hospitable and kind as they are. We are already planning our next vacation to The Bartlett Inn.

We just got home from a great weekend in the White Mountains and could not wait to post a review of the cozy Inn. We stayed at this great B&B the Bartlett Inn in Bartlett New Hampshire right along US Route 302. We rented one of their comfortable, clean New England cabins and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The Inn Keeper and his wife are very nice and helpful people. Their knowledge of local area is very helpful when selecting activity in the area. With a healthy warm breakfast we were ready to take on our mountain hike and enjoy the White Mountain landscapes.

I will be recommending The Bartlett Inn to all my friends and family looking for a place around Mount Washington Valley.

Room Tip: The cabins are comfortable, clean and dog friendly.

We stayed in a "cabin" which is really like a long motel building with rooms. We are not fancy hotel people on vacation - we would rather spend money on activities while we are there. Unfortunately our "cabin" crossed the line from cute and cozy into the realm of kind of run down and in bad need of updating.

Things like the the electrical box was exposed in the room, the thermostat's wire was just stapled to the wall is a really obvious place and the gas stove to heat the room had all the cables exposed. Again it could have been nice but the decor, the wallpaper and the overall look of everything in the room felt like it was done 20+ years ago.

Over staying at many mom & pop inns over 2 weeks in NH and ME our entire family thought this was the least favorite place we stayed.

Nick is very nice and full of info about the area - but they need to put some TLC into their cabins.

We always appreciate feedback so thank you. We enjoyed meeting these guests who expressed how much they loved their cottage room. Things changed when the weather turned to rain and they decided they wanted to leave a day early because of the rain. We had held this room for 6 months on their reservations and kept our agreement not to sell this room which is very popular, to other guests. On the reverse we do expect that guests understand we cannot control the weather. We did all possible to please this family who wanted the ac on but then also wanted the heat turned on at the same time. We accommodated this request to try to make them comfortable although it make no sense. Our guests love that our rooms are homey and cozy. Many of the furniture pieces are antique including the mirror shown in this picture. The mirror has some specks coming through because it is a character piece. The picture makes it look like there are splotches on the wall which there are not. We are constantly reinvesting in the property and the electrical box is a good example of how we recently upgraded the electrical service to this and other cottage rooms. We will consider paining it but never thought it looked bad. The gas stove was installed by the gas company and is required to have the shutoff valve exposed for safety reasons..we are not able to hide this for safety reasons. We are proud that this spring we completely renovated 3 bathrooms including the the one for this room. Our regular guests love the continual upgrades to the property and have especially complimented and enjoyed the new bathroom in this particular guest room.
