We stayed at Green Meadows Campground two nights in July 2012 in our 19' Sportsmobile campervan.
Green Meadows is a small, family owned (I assume) campground that is basic but nice. It caters more to the tent and tent-trailer crowd, it seems, although there were some bigger rigs there, too. Being the closest campground to Storyland, it also had a nice family feel, with a big meadow to play in right in the center of the campground, a basic playground, and a swimming pool. At night they did free wagon rides for the kids, which was a big hit with our son.
Sites have basic hookups and are reasonably priced, cheaper than the neighboring Glen Ellis campground (which we also checked out, but it was full). Compared with Glen Ellis, Green Meadow definitely seemed to be more "rustic" and basic. Not to say that's a bad thing: the sites were roomy and well situated and the CG had pretty much everything we wanted. It did not have the big camp store and amenities that Glen Ellis had, though. It did have free hot showers, although they are near the CG office and area quite a distance from most of the campsites. It would make a lot more sense to have them centrally located.
We'd stay there again. It was quiet, the bathrooms were clean, and the price was fair for what you got. We were originally going to stay in the Nat Forest campground at Dolley Copp up near Pinkham Notch (only $20), but we wanted to be a bit more centrally located and closer to North Conway and "town" on this particular trip.
