I stayed here on a quick last-minute business trip when my favorite motel in town was booked. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my room. The outside of the motel is a bit worn, but my room had been updated, was very clean, and was nicely decorated. The colors and style reminded me more of places I've stayed in Europe than in the U.S....maybe not others' favorite but I liked it a lot. The woman who was in the office both for check-in and checkout was very friendly and cheerful. The bed was perfect for me, and I slept very well. There was a lot of noise from the main road out front, but the fan worked as effective white noise so it didn't bother me. Not the best selection of channels on TV. Would have liked to have been able to get my HGTV fix.
I especially liked the microwave/fridge arrangement. The room had a cabinet in it with a door that closed over a compartment with the fridge in it. Having the door muffled the condenser noise. I also liked that there was a remote control for the heating/ac unit. A first for me. The breakfast consisted of an assortment of mass-produced pastries in cellophane wrappers, but I paid a LOT less for my stay than I would have paid at a chain hotel in town--far more than enough to cover any breakfast I would have wanted to buy elsewhere--so I didn't mind at all. I did take advantage of the tea and hot water they offered. Great way to start off my day. I would stay here again without hesitation, assuming other rooms in the motel would be as nice as this one was.
