“Best Anniversary Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We stayed at Cobb Mansion for our Anniversary, Paul & Jeff were great. We were treated like royalty while we were there. From the cocktail hour which included a tour of the mansion and homemade guacamole dip (great stuff) to breakfast the next morning(excellent) it was a fantastic time. Then to top it off Paul took us on a tour of Virginia City in his vintage (I believe) 1929 cadillac, very cool. We had a FANTASTIC TIME HERE AND RECCOMEND IT TO ALL. A TOTAL 5 STAR EXPERIENCE. We will be back soon. Thanks for a great time Paul Jell & Andria.

Dennis & Jocelyn Jonas

Room Tip: Just do it, a great time.

This is hands downs one of the top 5 most fantastic places I have ever stayed at. EVER. All I can say is WOW! Jeff and Paul have done one of the most amazing historic renovations I have had the pleasure of seeing...and I work in construction. Simply, no detail was overlooked.

I stayed in the Beebe-Clegg Room, it was on the small side by modern standards, but huge by historic ones and the vintage bed frame was awesome, and the bed itself was VERY comfy. The private bath in every room is a nice added amenity. This is a historic building so do not expect it to be sound proof. You will hear people walking around and talking.

The breakfast served in the morning is nothing short of fantastic, I just wish I could have stayed for the full event. The homemade cinnamon rolls and breads I saw going into the oven....O.M.G! But, given my schedule I had to leave before the full breakfast was served. Despite this, Jeff and Paul made sure I got everything I needed.

I will absolutely, most definitely, without a doubt, stay here again. What a treat, and being able to walk around in the historic downtown only adds to the ambience.

This place is beautiful and Paul and Jeff are amazing. They are so interesting and fun! Paul drove us to dinner in their awesome 1930's Cadillac and gave us an exceptional tour of the beautiful mansion. If you go to Virginia city, a stay at the Cobb mansion is a must!

Once again, the Cobb Mansion and our generous hosts provided us with a memorable stay in Virginia City, Nevada! The Cobb Mansion located above C Street provides all the 'Step Back in Time' experiences one could imagine. Each room is decorated in antique furnishings, the gourmet breakfast each morning so very delicious, and the ambiance of the old mansion and beautiful outdoor setting overlooking our favorite town of Virginia City makes for a vacation to never forget. The 6 of us dressed in old west Victorian attire to promote the ambiance of this 1800s town and again felt the excitement of staying in such a beautiful old Mansion. Our hosts, Paul and Jeff offer a tour of the Cobb Mansion and a historic ride through the town in one of their classic old cars. We cannot thank them enough for their friendship and hospitality!! We will be back again!!

My wife and I stayed at the Cobb Mansion for an entire two weeks because we loved it so much. You are spoiled from arrival to departure. Treated like royalty, we were very impressed with Paul and Jeff as they bent over backwards to make our stay one that most can only dream about. The breakfasts we received were both elegant and entertaining. We had never felt as pampered as we were during our stay at the Cobb Mansion. Paul and Jeff go well over and above as they show you more as to what surrounds Virginia City Nevada and the surrounding area and the true history that is within. In all my years of travel, this is by far the best experience I have ever had in any Bed and Breakfast or any lodging. They have become part of my family now and I will always stay with them when I travel there again. Try this!!! It will not disappoint!!! P.S. Complimentary Cocktail Hour is at 5:00 PM!! :)

Room Tip: You can not pick a bad room at the Cobb Mansion! They are all amazing!

Can't believe 100% five stars? Stay a night or two at the Cobb Mansion and you will understand. Paul and Jeff take this B&B thing to a whole new level. An immaculately restored mansion, unique and exquisite furnishings from their travels, non-stop hospitality, and a whole lot more. A tour of the town in a 1947 Chrysler woody convertible, wine in the early evening, a tour of the mansion with guacamole made in a period kitchen with period ware. A ride in a 1925 Cadillac if the need arises and more. A real surprise is Paul and Jeff not only serving a fantastic breakfast but sitting down and eating with the guests if there's room at the table. Yes, that's a bit unusual but very entertaining and delightful. So, yes, you can believe it. Five stars. And for a very reasonable nightly rate. Reserve early, repeat customers often do and may have taken all of the rooms.

Room Tip: The Harris Suite is large and interestingly furnished.

At first glance you might ask how a Bed and Breakfast could get so many 5-star reviews. The answer is… there is no other B&B that will provide you with such a wonderful experience. There is no need to repeat all the positive comments in the over 50 reviews, they are all so true. Check out all the room descriptions on the Cobb Mansion website. They range from large to small, each one being unique and delightful. We stayed in Harris Suite so we could enjoy the view. We seldom make unrequested recommendations to friends about places we stay on our mini-vacations. In the three days since our "experience" we have already encouraged two other couples to contact Paul and make reservations at the Cobb Mansion.

Room Tip: Each room is unique, visit their website for details.
