This hotel had only been open for a week after extensive renovation for the last year.
It has been decorated really well, and in an authentic style for a hotel that opened in 1907 in a gold mining town.
The room we had (202) wasn't huge, but was slightly cheaper as it only had a shower and no bath tub, which wasn't a problem.
There are still a few teething problems, to be expected. For example the air con wasn't working so the room was hot.
Breakfast will be available in the hotel during the next week, but the restaurant was open and served us a great dinner ( see Pittman's Cafe).
Definitely worth a stay in this fascinating hotel which I'm sure will improve as the weeks progress.
