“A good value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

This is an older hotel/casino that has been updated. The hotel portion is separate from the casino and restaurant. The hotel is a 2 story motel style. The room was large and well appointed with a faux rustic atmosphere (Exterior shingles on the wall, western style bedspreads). The deal was a night's room plus 2 steak and lobster dinners plus 2 breakfasts for $89 plus tax. The restaurant and casino are quite nice but the elevator could use some updating. They seemed to be a bit understaffed in both the casino and the restaurant. I saw only one coctail waitress in the casino and neither my wife nor I ever got a drink. Even though there were numerous empty tables in the restaurant when we went for dinner at 8 PM, we were put on a list and waited 30 minutes for a seating. Dinner was very good. Breakfast was limited to $4.99 value each but what the heck? Subtracting the food value from the total price resulted in a cost for the room of aprox $27. Not a bad deal.

My family reserved 3 rooms for one night for a birthday gathering. The exterior of the buildings looks old. This is not one large building with many rooms, but several buildings. The casino is in the front with the other buildings behind. This may help keep the road noise down. From the pictures on Tripadvisor, some of the rooms must be nicer than others. Our 3 rooms were identical in being fine - not great, not bad. It was noticeable that our building is not wheelchair accessible, which was surprising. The king beds were just like the room, not good or bad they were not rock hard or soft but fine. It was very quiet all night. We tried The Timbers for breakfast, which had tasty food in a nice woodsy setting. The hot tub was nice. The tv could have used a better selection of channels. All in all, our stay was ok. There are many options in Tahoe and this one is ok. We did have one mishap - the electronic door lock died at a bad moment. The hotel did give us some discount for the inconvenience. What I wonder is - how often does this happen, isn't there a better design, the hotel did make an effort to get us back to our belongings but it didn't seem as urgent to them as I would have liked. It was a very odd event.

Stayed at Lakeside Inn in September. The Hotel-Casino is on the older side in age but nice for a few days stay. Not everything worked well like the toilet needed to be flushed a couple of times to remove all debris, but other than that things were fine. The personnel there are very nice, especially the grounds keeper. While going to our room we walked past him and he greeted us. I dropped a small satchel that I did not notice. After a while he saw us and asked if we dropped something. Realizing the item he was holding was my small bag which contained my camera and PDA device, I thanked him. I knew we were taken care of with good honest people. And so it was during our stay.

Best deal in SLT. Much better than a buffet. We appreciate the excellent, friendly service. Our waiter, Diego, was great. The food was delicious. Excellent salad. We did not stay here, but loved the restaurant.

The Lakeside was our surprise hotel on priceline. I see that we saved $10 but didn't get the free breakfast, so not really worth it. Anyway the choice was made for us, and it was pretty good for the price! Clean, good beds, shower, spacious room, back balcony.
We are not casino goers, but it is close to the beginning of our planned bike ride. Their restaurant made us a pretty good breakfast, and the staff allowed us to park in their lot for the day while we were out riding. All-in-all we had a pleasant stay.

We stayed here on the last night of a weeklong stay for a confernece. It was a pleasant change from the larger hotel. The rooms have a unique look, with log-style furnishings. There was a pool patio right outside our room where we spent a couple of hours relaxing. The casion is more relaxed than the larger ones in town, and the onsite dining was excellent.

Room Tip: There are a couple of separate buildings, which seemed quieter than the main hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Inn. It was nice, convenient, quiet and clean. The service is very impressive, from the manager to staff.

We were hesitant when booking the hotel since we have never heard of it and never visited Stateline, NV. Our relative recommended this one. We gave it a try. Since the time we checked in, we liked the hotel. We were assigned to a well-equipped large suite, with Jacuzzi, living room, balcony and a mini kitchen. The room was spacious, so was the bathroom. It was clean and quiet.

In the morning, when I openned the curtain, I enjoyed the breeze from balcony. The hotel is close to a trail to Lake Tahoe, very nice location! The property manager, the cleaning ladies, the restaurant and the front desk (Mikey and others) were all very nice and helpful. It was a family friendly environment.

Almost forgot, after a busy day of outdoor activities, we returned our room and enjoyed the jacuzzi. What a treat!

We will stay there again this Christmas and will love to recommend it to our friends.

Room Tip: Corner suites are nice and large
