Ok, so myself and a few friends set up this great trip to stay in Tahoe for New Year's and attend the SnowGlobe Music Festival. We originally had planned (both budget and otherwise) to stay at a cabin of an acquaintance, so imagine our panic when we learned just a few days before Christmas that it had fallen through. We frantically began searching for a place to stay and were quickly losing hope that we would find anything without amassing a small fortune on a deposit or sky-high hotel room rates. Enter Doc's Cottages, our savior. We booked their last room on a whim and that was the last stressful event of the trip. Lloyd and Angie were just great, got us everything we needed (dishes, coffee, soap, whatever), and were just genuine people looking out for their guests. I feel like I want to go back just to hang out with them. It was convenient to pretty much everything (casinos, the lake, shuttle lines, chair lifts) and the full kitchen was a dream for a budget-friendly trip. I'd also like to applaud the construction of the cottages for a group of quasi-rowdy adults who like to blast some bass from time to time. You couldn't even hear it outside (and we checked multiple times). They just don't make them like that anymore. Sometimes things just work out and I give all the credit to Doc's.
