“To die for! If only we had known before....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

This Sushi restaurant is serving wonderful, delicious, fresh stuff at very decent prices. The All you can eat deal is amazing - if you can manage to eat a lot, but smaller combos also leave you happy and totally satisfied. Any other Sushi place in that area seemed completely uninspiring after dinner at Sushi Pier.

“This smallish establishment in South Lake Tahoe requires a visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Went ziplining at Kirkwood with my girlfriend over the weekend and stayed in South Lake Tahoe. We were looking over places to eat, coming up with nothing suitable until Sushi Pier caught our eye. All you can eat sushi? Sounded fishy in more ways than one. Upon entering we were quoted a wait time of 30 minutes. Standing room only for the wait. There was no room to wait.

But who cares! After waiting only 15 minutes, we began ordering using only our hungry eyes, from an extensive menu. The blonde bartender Mike was just the right amount of attentive. The sushi was on par with what you'd get at any quality sushi restaurant. We were smitten!

Visit if you've got an appetite for good food and service!

“Unbelievable! The best sushi I've had.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013 via mobile

Wow! This place is truly a treasure. Damon is fantastic. We sat at the bar and were treated to the best sushi and most unique that I've ever had. We had a roll with mangos, tuna and a piña colada aside that was to die for. This is one of my fav restaurants in south Lake Tahoe, we come every year. And sitting at the bar is a must, Damon really gives an unforgettable experience. Service is fantastic!

“Excellent Food! Fresh.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

While visiting Tahoe, friends who live locally brought us here last year and again during our recent trip. They claim it's the best sushi and value in the area. And, they're fussy about their sushi. They were right. There was a great selection, and all we ordered was excellent. The restaurant itself is somewhat cramped and noisy. Service got a bit bogged down as the place got more crowded, but staff were reasonably pleasant. We'll come back next time we're in the area.

“Not nice”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013 via mobile

Just returned home from Lake Tahoe. This is a casual, busy, all you can eat sushi restaurant. My first round of sushi was fine. My second round which included the salmon skin roll had a worm. As I took a bite a wiggly worm fell to the table. Disgusting.
