“Great experience/food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

This place was recommended to us by the front desk at our hotel. It was very good with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Francisco was very friendly and his sushi recommendations were very good.

“Great sushi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

They have an all you can eat option, which is awesome, however we only had two long dinner rolls and were stuffed to the gills. Service was wonderful, very helpful, engaging and generally cheerful! Great place for lunch or dinner but be sure to bring your appetite whenever you go!

“Every Year Favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

We escape the heat of Arizona in June every year and look forward to returning to Sushi Pier. We stay at Harrah's, so the cozy restaurant is very convenient. Since we live in the small artist community of Tubac, Japanese food is an hour away in Tucson. That's our excuse for always choosing the value, quality and variety of their all-you-can-eat sushi. There are many sushi restaurants in the Lake Tahoe area; Sushi Pier is our favorite.

“All you can eat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

All you can eat sushi is a scary thought when the main ingredient is so expensive. Sushi Pier does a good job working around this. They offer a wide variety of rolls that satisfy even the largest appetites. The restaurant is clean and service is friendly. The horseshoe shaped sushi bar creates a fun and lively environment.

“High quality, good service - best in South Shore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

My husband and I come to South Shore regularly. We love sushi and are extremely picky about freshness and quality. We have driven by this place a few times, and decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. Bear in mind we have tried all the sushi restaurants in South Shore.

This place exceeded all of our expectations. We ordered the all you can eat sushi. I do allow the quality to diminish some when you go to an all you can eat, just because it is usually the case. Not here. The sushi was fresh, and there were so many things to choose from. If you have someone who does not eat raw fish - there are plenty of other options on the all you can eat menu - like gyoza, soup, salad, tempura, cooked mussles and dessert - and not just green tea ice cream. You could fill up on the fried banana alone!

We were there on a Saturday night - it was fairly busy but we were seated promptly, our order taken and served quickly. The manager was helping run orders and making sure everything was running smoothly - I was impressed that the staff seemed genuinely happy and worked so well together.

I will not eat sushi anywhere but here from now on - it really puts the other sushi restaurants to shame..
