This place rocks. They smoke their pulled pork (house specialty) for 14 hours. The meats are all top notch and the smoking process just makes them wonderful. The medium sauce is mild to me, and the hot sauce is just right but they will do sample sauces and sauce on the side so you can experiment.
The sides are second to none. I favor the Louisiana Rice and BBQ beans (most of the dishes come with two sides). The sweet potato sides are also great.
Place has good parking, easy access, ample seating and a welcoming staff. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. I'd been there on a couple of occasions but this past weekend I invited my travel group there. Everyone, including critical food appraisers, was impressed. The 2 meat comination is a failry large meal with two sides and a big hunk of cornbread, so kids or light eaters can share. You get alot of food for the money, so don't over-order. When you get seated, check out the platters being served so you can gauge how much food you need. On this visit my table consisted of all male, BBQ loving, BIG eaters and nobody left hungry and we even had leftovers to take.
On a prior visit, I bought something like a "Family Pack" of BBQ to go and WOW, what a deal. TONS of food at a good price, all properly packaged up. The takeout service is top notch. You can even buy by the pound if you are feeding a crowd.
Any time I'm in the area, I plan on stopping at BJ's.
