“Air Cond Sucked!”

Residence Inn Reno

When the AC came on it was so loud it would wake up up. Laying in bed the vent was directed to ur face and that added to the wake up. I tried setting the fan to CONT but that was just one cont noize. Would have gone and asked for another room but who wants to do that a 1 AM and there was a thing in town so figured it was full.

Guess my big thing is when i got home there was an E from them asking to rate my stay. I layed the hole thing out in an E and got NO FOLLOW-UP from Marriott. Thats poor busness! Ill bet u that room AC is still the same.

We stayed here April 1 - 4th 2007. We have a young daughter, so the suites were ideal. The hotel provided a crib and bedding free, and there was plenty of room in the suite for all of us. It is a great location, close to the 395, so Tahoe, Reno, Virginia City and shopping at the Summit were close by. There is a great grocery store, Smiths, across the street and you can use the hotels barbecues. There are nightly get togethers in the lounge where you can meet other guests or just have a drink and read the papers. There are also laundry facilities on each floor which was great. Gene the manager was one of the most helpful and friendly people we have met travelling.
The only drawback is that the air conditioning can be a bit noisy at night, but that might have been our room only.
A great place to stay and highly recommended!

We stayed at the Residence Inn for one night on Jan. 1, 2007. We are a family of five and stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Each bedroom has 1 queen bed and there is a sofa sleeper in living area. TV in each bedroom and living area. Full bath connected to each bedroom. Small kitchen fully equipped. Hotel is not new but was very clean. Our room was very quiet. Breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, waffles and cereals. Bartender was given day off for holiday so there was no free happy hour on that day but usually they serve free drinks and snacks on weekdays. Small pool and hot tub outside. Pool was closed for winter but hot tub was available. You do have to walk outside to get to hotel lobby and breakfast area. Staff was very pleasant. Free parking and free high speed internet access. (not wireless) Ate a nice dinner at the Atlantis Casino buffet and won a few dollars playing craps at Cal-Neva Casino downtown. ($3 min.) We were planning on staying here for 5 nights and driving to a different ski area each day but lack of snow made us decide to move closer to mountains.

I travel frequently on business. I really like Residence Inn's. They are more like home than most hotels. The older Res Inn's tend to be the type where there are multiple buildings each with several Units with outside entrances to each unit. The newer Res Inn's have interior hallways. This is a newer property.

Front desk personnel at check-in very professional. They make sure to acknowledge their "Rewards" members and mention all details of the property.

The suites are very nice. Two burner cooktop, microwave, full-size fridge and dishwasher. Suite was absolutely spotless and everything in order. High Speed Internet in room (wired) was great. In some hotels I have trouble using my VPN for work but no problem here.

Location is great. Very quiet area even though not far from the airport freeway (395).

The entire property was extremely well cared for. The grounds, pool and barbeque areas were all beautiful. It is clear that this is a very well managed property.

Usual Marriott/Res Inn free local calls, free high speed internet, free cooked breakfast, etc.

About the only thing it lacked were some slot machines in the gatehouse. (Even the grocery stores here have slot machines!)

Highly recommend--especially for business travellers to Reno.

We were in Reno for a friend's wedding and couldn't get a hotel room downtown! Well, we were glad that we didn't. The residence in is about 10 minutes from downtown Reno, in a more residential area. The rooms are like suites. Kitchen included, great grounds, and great breakfast included in the price. We had oatmeal, belgian waffles, eggs, bagels, sausage, etc. This is meant for business travelers who stay for long periods of time. So there are some other nice amenities that we did not take advantage of: exercise room and free food shopping service! The room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Sorry, no slot machines.
