“great deal on rates”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2009

i usually stay here once a year and book it on various third party websites to receive deeply discounted room rates, usually around $25-30 a night. the rooms are very large and views from the upper fl;oors are very good. at that rate, i have no complaints about the hotel. parking and location are good.

We stayed here because we got a rate of $40/night from Hotels.com. I really can't recommend anything else about it. The beds were clean enough, but not particularly comfortable. Our room had a view of the other casinos/strip- the other side had great mountain views.

Reservation made July 12,2009 for August 8th & 9th. Hotel's confirmation stated "non-smoking".
At check-in, assured we got "nice room" and assumed the confirmation would apply. Upon entering room, saw ashtrays and matchbooks. Thought strange, but since late in day, and hotel "sold-out", made it through first night. Second night, heavy smoking across hall. Staff offered room change, but since tired and re-packing not to our advantage, put up with the smoke. Hotel offered $15.00 total discount, and said "Internet reservations do NOT guarantee "non-smoking" rooms. Never heard of this policy. We did not enjoy this hotel. Hotel is in need of repairs. Pool is across the PARKING LOT, and the spa was inoperative with yellow warning tape surrounding it.
Would never stay there again.

We were only staying one night and I would have been ok with this place if I'd have been able to stay Sunday-Wednesday when the rooms are $29-39. Anything higher than that, spend your money somewhere else. The king-sized bed was awful; it was basically two box springs covered by a thin mattress pad. The air conditioner was noisy (but cooled well) and the walls were paper thin. We were also next to the elevator and you could clearly hear the noise from that all night long.
The casino is ratty with old machines and a few tables with higher than they deserve limits and poor odds payouts.
Spend your money somewhere else and avoid this place unless it's cheapy-room night, and then, go somewhere else to gamble and eat.

I was gobsmacked when I arrived and found a budget hotel that was so good. We were allocated a room in the Dynasty Towers on the 15th floor. The room was spacious and very clean and we had an amazing view through the window. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. This is also a fantastic location, just a short walk from the bus station and the main hotels and casinos. There is even a $2 airport bus that can be boarded 2 blocks away!

I was heading back to Vegas from California, but stopped at Reno to visit my girlfriend's mom. We booked this hotel online. It was one of the cheaper ones out there and a decent value if you like sleeping on a bed that feels like concrete floor, poor customer service, and limited table games. This place has an older look to it. The two queen beds in our room were hard it was just like laying on the concrete and uncomfortable. If you want to play table games then definitely do not come to this casino. They had limited number of table games, and they house rules were ridiculous. The roulette dealer (Sylvia) told me I must gamble EVERY roll or get off the table even though I gambled every roll for an hour .Spoke to one pit boss who didn't mind if I skip a couple of rolls, then another pit boss said that this is a house rule and must play every roll or get off. So I took my chips and left. I have never heard of this "house rule". I will never stay or recommand a Terrible's Casino Establishment again.

This was my 4th trip to Reno and first time staying at Regency. I was hesitate to book our rooms here because of the bad reviews on trip advisor but could not find anything else in the price range.
I was pleasantly surprised. Front desk employees were great. Very helpful and friendly. Rooms were a good size. Pool was nice. Shuttle to bowling arena ran on regular basis and on time.
I will stay there again in 3 years when the Ladies Tournament is back in Reno.
