OMG, never ever again!
Smelly room, dirty bed, unplasent staying there, feeling unsafe. Me and friend ware traveling across USA and sleep one day in Motel6 Reno. After that experience we have allways first ask if we can see the room that we would like to rent before paying for it. So bad motel that i have never seen before or after. All I whant for my money is a clean place to sleep. I dont care how big rooms are or how many TV programs that it have I just whant cleen bed and bathroom. After we chek out I told a guy on the counter that the room and bed was terrible dirty and his answer was that he know that and dont understand why did they give us dirty room. Thats 69$ i will never see again so as Motel6 will never see me again. We have slept in motels all over USA W coast and Nevada and this was the only dirty motel in our rute!

Full disclosure: we decided to stay an extra day in Reno and were able to extend the room by one night. We suppose we had the choice of switching to another motel (there are so many in Reno) but it was just more convenient not to pack and move. Having said that, this was a grim property. First, it is really hard to find. The signage leaving I-80 was OK but then vanished, leaving us to hunt for the building (Tip: turn downhill at the CVS). First one then both ice machines were out of order and the receptionist didn't know about one of them, claiming no, it's working," until we showed otherwise, when she then said "we are trying to figure that out." (???). The area is really noisy. I don't know which rooms would be best to avoid this, as it is like being right on the side of the highway. The aircon/heater unit ran right up into the side of one of the two beds, so whoever is in that bed is going to be putting up with that noise too.

Like all Motel 6's I have used, you have to pay extra for WiFi but the company they use only seems to have limited bandwidth and the connection broke down often--each time, hijacking the websites and leading back to the Motel 6 home page. And also the water-saving device on the sink's tap meant that the water comes out in a needle spray that is almost not wet. One amusing touch, though I don't think they meant it to be this way: the toilet flushes almost like an airplane toilet (Whooooooooooooshhhhhhhhhhh) but that's not a complaint!

A very no-frills property, not ever going to be the most memorable part of your visit.

We were looking for an inexpensive nights stay because we were closed out of the Donner Pass. This suited us just fine. Pleasant, efficient ladies at the front desk, clean rooms and they accepted dogs. Just what we needed.

The "non-smoking" room reeked of cigarettes so badly we could hardly sleep. At dawn the traffic on the I-80 on ramp sounded like it was coming through the room. Coffee was cold. Not sure how this place earned earlier ratings, but not worth staying here at any price.
