“Horrible accomadations”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2011

During my stay at Circus Circus upon checking in my reservations were a disaster. The company that made the reservations charged my debit card the full amount of the room and then didn't reserve my room I had paid for. Secondly there was so much going on in hallways at nioght it was frightning, people were cussing and yelling slamming doors ect. The people next to us for 2 nights were extemly noisy and smoking drugs openly you could smell it. Thirdly the carpet had large cigarette burns in it and the skirts on the beds had some kind of large stains on it. I will never stay at this place again unless i want another horrible experience.

Room Tip: I would suggest the Atlantis casino

Arrived at about 6:30am from a 24 hour bus ride - no sleep. We go to hotel registration, the lady working told us we couldn't check in until 8 or we'd have to pay for the night before, which would have been fine if she wouldn't have been so rude. So we wait, finally get to our room. Very plain, might as well have stayed at a motel 6. The view was nice though, we were situated on the top floor of the 23 story building. You can walk almost anywhere since its center in downtown Reno. Our stay went fine until the night before check-out; I noticed stains on the undersides of the blankets. Guess that's okay. Went to pack and looked under the bed to see if I had left anything... only to find a crack pipe laying there. Housekeeping obviously isn't to worried about their efforts in cleaning. Will not be staying again or recommending to anyone.

Circus Circus has a lot of fun things for families with kids as well as good places to get food. We enjoyed our time there and all the beautiful sites around the area.

We booked a standard room for a last minute jaunt to Reno. We typically like to stay at the Eldorado but it was fully booked due to a Craps tournament. The room was very clean and seemed to have been updated recently. The Casino was not as large as some of the other casinos in town, but the cocktail waitresses made the rounds quite regularly. The Casino is connected to the Eldorado and the Silver Legacy by a mezzanine of shops and restaurants so it's pretty convenient. We had dinner at the Eldorado, which was great as always and used our $15 dining credit for breakfast at Circus Circus. The buffet was nice with lots of food choices and different ethnic foods. The service was decent and restaurant was clean. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others, especially those with children as it seems very family friendly.

Room Tip: I was able to "google" a promo before booking so we even received a sheet of coupons to us...

Booked the Hotel through Orbitz and was told that there would be a $4.99 Hotel charge, on top of the room charge. I asked the desk what this was for and they told me it was for maintenance, parking, Valet etc. I knew it was just another charge like the luggage charge the airlines do. No problem.
However at check out they wanted to tack on another charge - the City of Reno $2.00 tax, fee whatever. I disputed this because I was not told about this. They refused to leave this fee of and charged my CC.
Moral of the story, don't leave CC on file and ask what all the charges are going to be.
I recently stayed at another Reno Hotel and only had one charge for everything, so this kind of deception and nickel and dime practice is not everywhere.

We stayed for 3 days over Thanksgiving. We were in the Sky Tower and had a very nice room on the 26th(no smoking) floor. Great view to the east, especially at night with all the lights. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. It was a little bit of a walk from the elevators to the casino floor, but the exercise was helpful. This hotel attracts families with children due to the midway, but it was not a problem. TV's are outdated, but fine for the time spent in the room. It's a bonus to be able to walk inside from Circucs to Silver Legacy to Eldorado. Parking was easy, but be sure to check in before unloading luggage in case you are in the Sky tower. Circus casino was easiest of the 3 to get a drink.

Room Tip: Sky tower had great views and seemed to have been updated. No smell of smoke at all on nonsmoking fl...

We stayed at Circus Circus in Reno the night before our wedding in Tahoe...the front desk was very nice. We had 3 rooms (all different - standard, deluxe and a suite) and we were able to get all of them next to each other on the same floor! Our room was very very cold, the heater did not work in the bedroom-it did work in the living room...that would be my only complaint..clean rooms, bathrooms...we asked for more blankets and they brought them.....overall, I would stay here again....the circus part kept the kids entertained too...we all loved the circus acts

Room Tip: Not much difference between all the rooms (suite, deluxe, standard)....just pick what fits your part...
