“Good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

First time visit; service was great! I had the salmon burger which was cooked nicely along with sweat potato fries! Yum. My colleagues had the scallop and abalone steak which they enjoyed!

“Can you open one near my house?!?!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

The hubby & I found this by accident on one of first trips to Reno. We programmed the GPS to find a Starbucks close to Peppermill & voila.....Stone House Cafe was right across the street. Since then, we've eaten here several times for breakfast & they never disappoint. This morning, Paul's waffle was on my plate & the hubby had chipotle eggs Benedict. Delicious. Just delicious. I especially love that they don't serve plain butter with the waffle....it's orange marmalade butter & it is SO good. Add to that the place itself....very quaint/charming. We were even seated next to the fireplace this morning. Nice, friendly staff & prompt service. What's not to love?!?!

“Don't order their pancakes!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Lovely setting, decent service? Yes.
However do NOT order their pancakes; they are terrible! Small, thin, undercooked and very much over priced! You can go to about any diner and get better pancakes at a far better value! When I told the waiter they were absolutely unacceptable he did take them back and substituted their logan berry oatmeal pancakes which were only marginally better. The logan berry syrup was pretty good but the pancakes were still pathetic!
Oh yeah, their coffee was pretty good.

“Reno's Dining Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

This is a very nice place to go for a relaxed and informal dining experience. The setting is lovely in old southwest Reno and, although they have inside dining, the outside garden area is a wonderful getaway. The staff is efficient, friendly and very professional. I have been there for lunch and look forward to trying dinner there. The food is excellent and a large variety so you have much from which to choose. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices--I would have thought that with this atmosphere and great food it would have been an expensive place; but it is not. This little jewel is more affordable than the coffee shops in the large casinos. My lunch has been around $10 each time I have been there. This would be a great spot to go for just the dessert menu alone. Since it is connected to the family that owns the great Adele's in Carson City, I should have known that it would be incredible. You might have a short wait, it is very popular--everyone loves it. For a romantic evening or a ladies get together, it is ideal. Try this wonderful place for a real treat.

“Pleasant, but pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

First time visit a couple of weeks ago. The food was very good and so was the service. Oh, and the atmosphere is pleasant, especially on the patio. I had the San Diego sandwich which was delicious. Overall pleasant experience, but it's fairly pricey. We'll be back, but not too often due to the price tag.
