“Still Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2009

During Hot August Nights, we used to visit the Luciano's on S. Virginia until it closed; but then went over to the one on Lakeside Dr. Our server, Mike, has been there several years, and is a model for all servers. On our latest visit, I had chicken marsala and my wife a tomato pesto. Both entrees were very good as well as the preceding minestrone soup . The restaurant itself is not large and we had a couple groups of five and six near us, which made it almost impossible to hear the background music. This is the only thing I could criticize about Luciano's.

“used to be good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2009

Location on Virginia Street closed a few years ago. I recall the food as excellent. Service and decor was old-school Italian. Intimate and inexpensive.

Fast forward to second, newer location, food was disappointing compared to meals at the old location. Chicken saltimboco was over-salted but otherwise tasteless. Especially disappointing was the waiter letting me order a starter course of polenta without telling me the entree came with polenta on the side. My partner's ravioli was "just okay".

An older crowd and a quiet setting. Reluctant to try again.

a local favorite, but not sure why. over cooked pasta, slow service and a menu that tries too hard but doesn't deliver if its veal or seafood.

“Italian with taste and class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2009

We can't believe a review has not been written about Luciano's. Nice classy place without being pretentious. Good bar, waiters who know how to serve without hearing their life story. The clientele seem to be made up of well dressed regulars who make this their favorite watering hole on Friday or Saturday night. Good menu and wine list. Prices are moderate. If you want an evening out away from the tourist crowd and where you could be dining somewhere in Italy, Luciano's is the spot. Good Thai restaurant a couple of doors down also.
