“Best Breakfast in town”

Great place all-around. A Reno landmark. Now that there's one just 4 miles away we go even more often.

“Unglorified breakfast”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Call me a sucker for punishment; I've tried Peg's 3 times now - each time lured by all the positive reveiws here on TripAdvisor. Although their staff is always friendly, that's about the only thing they are doing right. On each visit, the breakfast has been cold and my over-medium eggs have been completely undercooked (a cool runny aqueous mess), even after sending them back twice last time. The hash browns are so saturated with fake butter-in-a-bottle oil that they are always mushy. The omelets are not only dry, but the veggies are not sauteed (instead just thrown in raw). They serve many dishes in their "signature" skillets, which are warped on the bottom; this causes them to spin around incessantly, and requires you to hold the handle with one hand as you use your fork with the other... the end result is a frustrating trough-like feeding experience. Don't be fooled by the reviews; Peg's hasn't glorified breakfast in any way.

“EX-CEL-LENT !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

Wonderful & great service - huge amounts of good and fresh food - BEST b'fast in Reno ! We had a short wait on Sat. morning around 9:30AM - but that was totally expected and they were quite accomodating. We'll be back each time we visit in Reno.

“Great food in a funky place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Some friends told me to go to Peg's for breakfast and I am glad that I did. The staff was full of energy and the menu was outstanding. The food, however, was even better! Everything was cooked perfectly and served piping hot. Crispy bacon, delicious eggs and perfect hash browns. I only wish I could have gone back the next day so that I could have tried something else!

“Delicious !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Had a nice hearty Breakfast at Peg's just last friday....and boy was it good. I had the Belgian Waffle (mmm) with 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns (mmm- add Chalula sauce) and my wife had the smeared Salmon and both were very good. The portions were big, price was standard, and the location was close enough to the casinos to walk (about 10 minutes each way). You get to walk over the river as well if you walk over from S.Legacy/Harrah's etc. The inside was very busy so we opted for outdoor seating so we sat right away. Not the cleanest patio experience, but the food was great so we didn't really bother with being nit-picky. All in all a great breakfast experience, and definitely lives up to the hype of "best breakfast in Reno 10 years running"
