“Reno Riverwalk One Of A Kind”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Reno Riverwalk is in downtown Reno along the Truckee River and is one of a kind when it comes to city riverwalks. There are shops, restaurants, bars, wine walks, a movie theater, sidewalk trails, bridges crossing the Truckee River and 2 beautiful parks which are connected by trails and separated only by a street/bridge. Wingfield and Bennett parks hosts concerts, free movie nights, events and festivals and is a great place for swimming. Bennett Park is a whitewater park which holds several kayak competitions throughout the summer and has a beautiful wooden arched walking bridge that crosses the Truckee River. You can rent tubes and kayaks at Bennett Park. Both parks are excellent places to bring a blanket and relax, watch and listen. Always something going on at the Reno Riverwalk in the Spring and Summer!

“Great scenry along the river.”

Well lighted along the downtown area and pretty clean. Great views of landmark buildings but can be busy on summer weekends.

“A mid-town relaxing spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Need a bit of a cultural diversion - head for the Truckee River which flows through the city. On the island during July, there are free concerts, dancers, bands and music provided every evening about 7pm - 9pm. There is a band stand and the sound is good. Food and beer venders are at the site as well. Great family atmosphere. We spent four evening at the park. The city has made the river in this section a swimming and rafting recreation area. Fun to watch the kids float through the rapids in their huge inner tubes. We've been to Reno a number of times and spend quite a few hours in the park area on the river walk.

“Revived Reno”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

downtown Reno would never have been a destination in the past due to the somewhat seediness of the biggest little town in Nevada. I was so surprised to see the transformation of the river walk. Take a pleasant stroll along the river and check out the shopping, small parks, bridges and some great restaurants. We could even stop and watch some kayakers practicing on some of the small rapids along the way. Great job Reno!
