“Excellent dog-friendly hotel in Reno”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Stayed at the Hyatt Place Reno/Tahoe Airport for one night during our drive from Salt Lake City to San Francisco. The front desk staff were very friendly and accomodating of us and our dog -- giving us a quiet room close to an exit. The room had a fridge, couch, bed, and bathroom. It was very clean, as was the hotel throughout. The breakfast in them morning was basic, but good. They had egg scrambles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee. Overall, this was probably the best "budget" hotels I've ever stayed at. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Driving downtown or to the Peppermill or Atlantis casinos was also a snap. We went to the Atlantis for dinner and it was only about a 2-3 mile drive.

I have nothing but good things to say. Great place, clean and spacious rooms. Our room had a king size bed that was very comfortable and my daughter slept on the sleeper sofa, also very comfortable. The hotel is across the street from the airport but you really could not hear the planes. The breakfast was great and friendly staff. Great location, great price. Our new place to stay in Reno.

We arrived at the Hyatt on June 13th for my little brothers swim meet. After so much stress due to car troubles, it was very refreshing to be greeted so nicely. We couldn't wait to get to our room and relax. The room was amazing. Separate living room area made the room very spacious. The shower was amazing, the best shower I've had while being at a hotel. The complimentary breakfasts were awesome! so much variety, and was different every morning. Definitely recommend this hotel! The quality really made it worth the money.

My wife and I rolled up on the Hyatt late on the afternoon of June 15 from Yosemite, road-weary, to be greeted by a solicitous desk manager, ready to assist us in any way he could. I checked in as my wife marveled at the spic and span lobby area, and the fact that an employee was sweeping a pretty clean floor! And the room matched in cleanliness and comfort, with a separate sitting area that made it homey and usable for more than sleeping. An unexpected plus was Hyatt Place's 24/7 food service, with enough dinner or snack selections that we "ate in"--a sumptuous salad, tasty flat-bread pizza, and soup for us, reasonably priced--that saved a trip out for two very tired folks. The bed was very comfortable, the house was quiet. Shouldn't we have heard planes at an airport hotel? We topped off the stay with the free breakfast, with timely attention by the friendly staff. Best stay we've had this trip, and one of the best we can recall at such a reasonable price.

Room Tip: The desk agent will give you a choice. We were on the airport side, away from the freeway. Quiet!

Our family of six stayed in one of the suites at this hotel for one night. The price was great. The room and beds were comfortable and clean. The staff was professional and personable. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, and exercise room. I worried at first that being right across the street from the airport it might be noisy but it is not in the flight path so it was fine. The kids loved watching the planes landing and taking off. Breakfast was also very enjoyable.

We really appreciate you taking the time to review Hyatt Place Reno Tahoe Airport. Even though we are an airport property hotel there is very little noise. We also offer some great amenities from an outside jacuzzi, indoor pool, 24 hour fitness center, and a complimentary hot breakfast every morning just to name a few.

We hope you continue to stay with us here at Hyatt Place Reno Tahoe Airport.

Thank you!

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

The Hyatt Place located within a two-minute or less drive of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport offers a friendly and professional front desk staff, an inviting lobby area and rooms with a very comfortable bed and a large seating area in front of a big flat screen TV. However, it has two deficiencies -- one operational and one structural. As to the first, the hotel appears to want to distinguish itself from the Express-level properties of other national brands by offering a more extensive complimentary breakfast. In addition to the standard cold cereal, hot oatmeal, juices and high quality coffee, the choices include two hot sandwiches, pastries and breads. These latter three items, however, are not up to the Hyatt standard of quality. The hot sandwiches are dried out and tasteless. They appear to have been purchased in a large quantity in a frozen form. As needed, they are microwaved and put out under heat lamps. The pastries, standard boxed donuts and small sweet rolls, suffer from the same dried out and stale taste. The structural defect is that the bathroom fan and the light are on the same switch and the fan is loud. While I can undertand the need for a bathroom fan to remove moisture from the shower, cutting construction costs by wiring both the fan and light together result in creating a situation where there is no way to quietly go to the bathroom during the night without risking waking either a traveling companion or children who may be sleeping in the same room. The hotel was a clean and comfortable place for an overnight stay but not quite what I had expected given that Hyatt had put its name on the door.

Spent the night prior to a early departure to return home. The front desk staff was very professional, however, upon entering the room, there was a musty smell....... Was only there to catch at least 6 hours sleep prior to our depature, but the young ladies next to us were having a slumber party and were quite loud.

Would not stay here again, as a good nights sleep is very important to me.
