“Front Sight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

My second stay at Saddle West as a First Family member with the discount. Granted the hotel need some upgrading, however the beds were comfortable and our room was clean. The housekeepers noticed that we were using two towels per day and starting double stacking the towels for us. The food was good. Only downside was the younger folks footfalls on the second floor. Would my shooting partner and i stay there again?? YES

I have stayed at the Saddle West for a total of six nights over two separate stays. The rooms are clean and representative of a good economy hotel. I have eaten at the hotel restaurant each night and the buffet, though not fancy, is adequate and a good value for the price.

I would recommend the deluxe rooms for a bit more money, but they tend to sell out first. I can't speak to the RV resort as I have no experience.

My only complaint is the outdated and dreadfully slow front desk software which looks like a hold over from the mid-eighties. I waited 40 minutes in line for a room key and there were only 5 guests in line ahead of me with three desk clerks on duty!

The grounds are well kept and the employees all friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a Deluxe room if available.

This hotel has rooms that range from poor and cheap to amazing suites, Ive stayed in all during my many trips to Front Sight Firearms Training and have found the deluxe rooms to be the best all around for comfort and price. The hotel has a good restaurant with a wide variety on the menu and also a buffet, however the buffet for lunch and dinner is very limited in its menu and often out of items. The breakfast buffet is great and offers an omlette bar

Room Tip: Go with the deluxe rooms or the luxury suites

This place is for an older crowd. Very old motel. I would not recommend staying here. It is very expensive for what it is.

This place caters to the Front Sight members and that's why the "very good" rating. The rooms are adequate but it is a good value. They could use a good updating. The grounds are nice and the location is convenient. The buffet makes getting out in the morning easy although the food is so so. The boxed lunches to go are very good with more than enough food even for the very big eater. The staff is good. The casino is really smokey and unpleasant. Unfortunately, you have to check-in inside the casino; and walk through it to the breakfast buffet. That was the only real downside.

Rooms are clean and, though dated, quite comfortable. Location is handy to other casinos and restaurants. Their breakfast buffet is as good as anywhere.

My Wife and I stayed here last April while we were attending Front Sight. Yes, the place is somewhat dated but a lot of money has been spent to make it a nice place to stay while in the area.
It has a peaceful, relaxed down- home air about it and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay great.

Albeit it wasn't a 100' buffet bar but the Chef clearly took pride in dishing out good food to his customers, breakfast was fresh and good-even had stewed prunes lol

The best clam stew that I ever eat was right there.

Actually I really enjoyed our stay there and we are booked for this year too.

Room Tip: To avoid dissipointment ,, I would URGE you to secure your rooms well in advance so that you can cho...
