visiting family, we stayed for 6 nights. Very happy with the location and the hotel. When we first checked in, we asked about the scents used in the rooms. Having two people in our family with serious allergies to strong scented cleaners/air freshners, this is important to us and knowing that in Gambling Towns there is alot of cigarette smoke in rooms, we thought we would encounter problems. (especially given other reviews here).
We found the housekeeper in our hall and asked if they used strong scented cleaners......surprisingly, she was very approachable and told me, in detail, the types of air freshners and cleaning fluids they used and ASKED if we would prefer them not to use any one of them in our room. I requested no air freshners and the mild cleaning agents and she wrote it down. For the remainder of the stay, there was no flowery scents used again!! We were very impressed.
Front desk personnel were friendly and fun.
The breakfast was wonderful! Eggs, waffles, biscuits, meat, cereal, pastries, etc. Couldn't be better for continental breakfast.

We checked out and thanked them for the excellent experience. No gambling in the hotel which is nice for a Nevada town when you travel with kids.
Lots of fast-food or nice restaurants very close by.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Nothing special about this hotel but no reason to complain either. A convenient stop on our way to Death Valley National Park. If you like it: there is a popcorn machine with free popcorn for guests at breakfast.

We stayed in one of the hotel's deluxe rooms. It was massive, clean and well cared-for, but we wonder who decided on the decor. For example, there were floor-to-ceiling mirrors next to the bed, a 1970s-style bar in the corner (covered in mirrors again), and the bathroom featured a huge two-person whirlpool tub and a blind which could be pulled back so that someone in the bedroom could see what someone in the bathroom was doing! The free breakfast was generous and the staff were very friendly. Decor aside, this is a good option for people wishing to visit Death Valley but not wanting to stay in the Valley itself. Consider eating at Symphony's restaurant, at the Pahrump Winery.

The Best Western in Pahrump is like any other small town flop house. However, there is a little known sports bar attached to the property that makes any grown man cry. It is a NASCAR temple, to say the least. The entire bar area, probably 1500 square feet, is covered with authentic NASCAR car parts, track utilities and driver uniforms. Signed helmets and hoods, photos and more give the Best Western a reason to boast. The food is wonderful, and the service is outstanding. The bar and resturant have the most effiicient staff I have ever witnessed. I am also in the food and beverage industry, and I am not easily impressed. Prices are very reasonable for both food and liquor. The energy the employees create is contagious. With a full house, the bartender was still able to manage to make customers feel right at home. The one thing I will remember hearing in the sports bar after all is said and done is laughter. Customers, wait staff and bartenders all enjoyed where they were and what they were doing. A+++ to those responsible for placing the perfect people in the right positions.
