this hotek is nasty. quite literally the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. no amenities. Beds, towels, soap, hair dryer, thats it. no shampoo, no lotion, no iron or ironing board. TV was an old box set that was probably 15 inches. bed was so bad i woke up sore the next day, so sore it felt like i got in a car accident. phone was older than me, (im 31) i found crickets crawling all over the room the second night. there was no shower head. only stayed here because we had our dog and it was pet friendly. i will surely board my dog next time. the rooms for pets have like a laminate flooring, which is smart, but it makes the furniture slide all over the place so all night (we were on the first floor) we heard the upstairs room everytime they sat or laid down, it was like they were moving furniture. there was also like no insulation as far as sound goes, if your neighbors are up at 5am so are you, its so LOUD. the hotel staff was hit and miss, housekeeping brought us towels within minutes when i called for them, however, the casino/ restaurant staff was awful. even the starbucks latte i got was gross. food in the cafe was gross, not worth the price. all in all i would NEVER EVER stay here again, this is a place for broke college students, not a family.

Almost no shopping or parks but we found basics on our GPS.$tree,wal-mart,Bealls. Eating was fun after internet reviews and affordable too.ate @casino cafe once and buffet accross street once, then pizza hut. One secret if your in town for sports and don't gamble ,is knowing the restarant entrance, Virgin River its the South entrance. The arcade was great, its the North entrance, earn tickets and buy prizes, we had a blast in just one hour with $10 each,no smoke. Bowling smelled smokey though, which makes me very sick. Pool not heated and was colder than the ocean in winter. the 2 outdoor hot tubs were nice, children allowed. Rooms were just good enough to get by. Extra towels were brought fast.no fridge, tiny tv with terrible reception,it needs a new cable.Grounds and rooms were clean, with updated decore and paint. Telephone reservationist was kind but lied that they had conjoining rooms and queen beds, they were actualy doubles. Not too bad since it made more space.

Room Tip: Higher floors have little foot traffic & rooms circling pool may be noisier. Lots of new sport c...

The Virgin River is a casino hotel on the Arizona-Nevada border, a good stopping place for folk traveling north or south on I-15 and needing to break up their trip--and you can do so here while avoiding fighting the Las Vegas traffic and crowds. Phone ahead for a reservation and you can often get a room for $30 or so (and if you ask when making the reservation they'll throw in a free breakfast). The rooms are fairly plain, but roomy and clean. Dogs are allowed in some of the rooms (when it is desert-hot outside you don't want to leave your dog in the car!). There is ample room to air and exercise even large active dogs. The restaurants are very reasonably priced and the buffet has great variety.

Room Tip: Get building 4 if you have a dog you want to air--or building 3 if you want your dog in the room. O...

Awful! No hot water. No shower head in the shower. Loud heater, could not even use it. Channels do not change on the 1970s tv. And the nastiest dirtiest towels ever. Spotted with who knows what. One washcloth was so black.... I was gagging. When I complained, they said there was nothing they could do because I waited until checkout to tell them. Uhmmmm... Hello! We got in late, with children, with a migraine, and luggage. We felt stuck. It was all we could do to get in the room. Much less wait to be switched. It was awful. They were so rude! Oh, and the best part? $103!! For all those problems......

Virgin River in Mesquite is the best place to stay with your pet(s).Once in Vegas, dog-friendly reasonably priced hotels are a major problem (for example, if they do allow them, your dog can weigh only up to 50 pounds. Mandalay Bay charged $165 /night for 2 people; took up to 2 dogs with a combined weight of 100lbs and an additional $50 per night per pet)... so we drove the 100 miles back to Mesquite with our 2 adorable Bichon Frises. At Virgin River we paid only $75 a night total for a 2-queen room. The only hitch was that they allowed one pet per room, but for us that was not a problem since we were booking two rooms anyway. This hotel accommodates all pets-from Rottweilers to cats; and has no stipulations on weight. There is a huge outdoor sandy and mesquite bush yard area behind this building for pet exercise. The rooms are standard motel size rooms, except that the floors are linoleum; and since the whole building accommodates pets, it can sometimes get noisy. Ours was only a 3-day trip. We really like Mesquite with the swimming, golfing, gaming, and spa at the nearby Casablanca Resort, so our short vacation worked out just fine-and turned out to be a haven for our dogs.

Room Tip: This is a separate hotel building and entry into the rooms is from the outside. Since there is also...

Didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room, did sightseeing most of each day. Other than the lack of a flat screen tv, everything was great, especially the hotel rooms being in separate buildings from casino. Reserved room online and asked for first floor room since my husband is disabled and we got first floor room close to casino. Would definitely stay here again - it is not elegant but neither am I.
