“Would definitely stay there again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012 via mobile

Didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room, did sightseeing most of each day. Other than the lack of a flat screen tv, everything was great, especially the hotel rooms being in separate buildings from casino. Reserved room online and asked for first floor room since my husband is disabled and we got first floor room close to casino. Would definitely stay here again - it is not elegant but neither am I.

I booked this in advance and got an excellent deal. The room was basic but very clean. One nice thing about this place was that all the staff were pleasant, professional and seemed to be happy in their work!

The Virgin River Hotel and Casino is in a good location, right off Interstate 15 so it is easy to get to. My friend and I stayed overnight on our way to Utah. The room was clean with adequate accomadations. Beds were comfortable. We decided to eat at their buffet for both dinner and breakfast the following morning. They served a variety of entrees and sides as well as desserts. Both meals were good especially considering the low price. The only downside was walking through the smokey casino floor to get where you wanted to go. I do not know if I would spend a week here but it was more than fine for an overnight stay and i would stay again. I give this property a VG because of the very affordable prices.

We stayed at the Virgin River Hotel/ casino for five days during the world long drive championship being held in Mesquite. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Our five-day stay cost a total of $190. Although the rooms were a little dated they were extremely clean. I have read in other reviews were people were upset that there was no shampoo in the bathroom. For $26 a night I have no complaints. I was amazed at the cleanliness not only of the rooms but the whole facility. Wherever I went I seen workers cleaning everything from the pool to the handrails. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was fabulous. My only negative about this resort was the smoking in the casino. Having said that it was my choice To go into the casino. Overall I was extremely pleased with the Virgin River Hotel and Casino.

I enjoyed the hotel rooms cleanliness and central location in town. No extra frills to mention, but the breakfast buffet was very tasty and good quality. The casino was very not modern and the clientele was dirty and dressed like slobs.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool can be noisy at night with kids swimming.

We visited this casino twice while spending a week in Mesquite. Both for gambling and to eat at the Chuckwagon. The Chuckwagon had very good meals at reasonable prices. Would definitely visit the casino and the restarrant again. We didn't stay at the hotel since we had other accomodations so we can't speak to it.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

We stayed here on our way to St. George, Utah, and to watch some friends play in a softball tournament. The room had 2 queen beds each with 2 sheets separated by a very light blanket. The extra blanket above the clothes rod was holey and scratchy. The beds and pillows were too firm for me. The air conditioner worked but was very noisy. I ended up wearing my fleece pull over to bed to stay warm. There are six 3 story buildings spread out over the parking lot with 2 pools. Because they are old buildings they cannot be wired for wifi---or so I was told. Therefore, it was offerred by a 3rd party which charged $10 per night. The cafe t-bone special was not special --- lots of gristle --- and the salad greens were limp and turning dark on the edges. The Keno crew were friendly but lots of side conversations with customers on medical problems, etc.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.
