Front staff are nice, the room we got was not cleaned ( strike one ) we called and they offered me a house keeper or a different room, I chose a different room, ask about the buffet, was told sorry it is closed so they can renovate, ( strike 2 ). Then I was told this is off season. Then why not shut and lock the front door and put a closed for renovation sign up, will not stay here again. Will sleep in car next time.

We stayed at the Tropicana Express on Thanksgiving through Saturday, leaving on Sunday. Laughlin was very busy which was good. The Tropicana Express was very good overall. We ate at the coffee shop 2 times and the food and service was very good. We went to the buffet Sunday morning and it was okay. Kind of pricey for a Sunday buffet and we would rate the food as average. Went to the steak house one night and that was very good. Over all we would rate this place as above average. Room was good and clean. 3 different bars, loose slots and decent table games. We will be back.

Room Tip: If you are not traveling with children ask for the Adult Tower. Only 21 years older can stay there.

A friend and I recently stayed at the Tropicana for three nights. Our room was nice, clean, and the beds were really comfortable. The buffet was edible, but not great. The cocktail waitresses in the casino came around quite often. Everyone at the hotel was always friendly, and the service we got no matter where we were in the hotel was always good. I would definitely stay there again.

Over three years ago we stayed in the jacuzzi suite at the Tropicana Express in Laughlin. The room was not ready until after 5 pm and when we did get in the room, it was very dirty, so we had to wait almost another two hours for it to be cleaned. We decided to give the Tropicana Express another chance and am glad we did. We booked the Jacuzzi suite again and upon our arrival just before 3 pm, the room was ready, which was a nice surprise, however, we did stay on a Wednesday and Thursday night. Upon entering the room, I was glad to see that it was actually clean, except the carpet is worn and there are cigarette burn marks in various part of the floor. The lamp between the bed and sofa is a hazard, but we just kept it off. The furniture is okay, but does need refurbishing. The room does come with a small refridgerator and coffee pot, which is nice. The king size bed was very comfortable to sleep in and the pillows extremely firm. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough towels for two people. The television is small and the reception and choice of channels were not great. However, if you don't plan on staying in the room, then that would not matter. Housekeeping came by around 9:30am, but we were being lazy, I only asked for another towel and said we could skip housekeeping. Later we went for a walk around Laughlin and upon our return, noticed that housekeeping did come in after all, which was nice, but they took the extra towel. Overall, returning to the Tropicana Express was a good idea. The jacuzzi suite cost was $49.99 per night, which is a sweet deal for us. We spent the majority of our time in the room. I do suggest to bring your own bubble bath and maybe extra towels. This hotel does not have room service, so if you plan on spending alot of time in the room, bring your own goodies. Overall, I am glad we decided to give them another chance.

Room Tip: Call directly to the hotel. Ask for a Jacuzzi suite for room space.

The Tropicana Express is not on the Colorado River but across the street. The basic room was dirty and there was a squirmy bug in the bath tub :( The televisions in the basic rooms are small and the bedding was scratchy. So we upgraded to the deluxe room which had nicer bedding and seemed cleaner but still not what we expected. This hotel does not have coffee makers in the rooms. The staff person who cleaned our room did a terrible job, even though they were tipped. One day they didn't clean the ashtrays, the next the beds were kind of put together and they never replenished our plastic cups. I know that this would be considered a budget hotel but I have stayed in nicer hostels in Cambodia :p

Room Tip: If you are going to stay here, get the deluxe rooms and ask for the front of the hotel higher up.

BYOP, bring your own pillow. The mattress and bedding were fine but the pillows were not. The airconditioner ran non-stop and was rather noisy. My biggest complaint is the lack of available WIFI. My ipad came up with a "Guest Services" provider for $7.95 - unlimited 24hour access, which I assumed was the hotel. The service waivered between super slow and non-existent. While checking out I asked about a refund and she had no idea what provider I was talking about. We were told that the hotel only has wifi for their purposes and does not offer any type of service to guests. Apparently "Guest Services" is a independent provider I just happened across and would not recommend purchasing it at all. Since the rooms were free with players card points I'd stay again. But don't think I would pay for a room there.

I have stayed in several casino hotels in Laughlin. There are more affordable hotels on the strip with beach access. You just gave to look online. I stayed at this hotel twice. It has all the amenities as the other hotels, but no beach. During the week, I noticed it's full of more mature crowd, 50 and over. During the weekend I observed a much younger crowd here to party. It was busy. This hotel has an adult only tower which is good if you want to get some piece and quiet. The buffet is average but affordable. The parking structure is close to the rooms. The rooms could use some repairs and better maintenance. If you are visiting Laughlin to party without the use of the river, this is a good place to stay.
