“Not as much fun as last time.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

We love going to Laughlin, on the Colorado river with all the activity, jet skiis, water taxis, paddle wheeler (faux) and all the variety of colors and scenes, magnificent. There were some detractors this time; its was the tail end of Spring break and the crowds immense. Bus Tour anxious for the Casino experience pushing and shoving and standing watching you play with no consideration for your privacy. Kids running around the Casino with floaties waiting for Mom and Dad to take them to the pool. Upon departure we asked the Customer Service to phone Hertz they could pick us up and they refused. I asked the Bellman if he could phone and he said he did not have a phone. We finally called Avis who contacted Hertz and 1.5 hrs. later we were picked up. Harrahs dropped the ball, Hertz dropped the ball, and our holiday ended on a rather sad note.

Room Tip: Go for the Adult Tower river view and do not book your trip during Spring Break.

Green Features: Like many other hotels, using towels repeatedly instead of changing them every day, is a good practice.

Stayed 3 nights April 2014 for a birthday celebration with 11 friends. Central Tower Double Deluxe - nonsmoking, room 20385. Early check in was a breeze. I requested low flooring and received 3rd floor room right next to the stairs. My friends also were allowed to check in early and were even offered a refrigerator and an upgrade from classic room (thanks Amber!). Entire staff was always friendly and helpful, from the valet, housekeeping, and cocktail waitresses to the ladies in the gift shop. Room was excellent. Plenty of space with a large bathroom. Beds extremely comfortable (we all commented on this). Had dinner at Baja Blue. Food was okay, cocktails were awesome, average prices. My favorite part of the stay was the private beach. What a beautiful view! We only wish they had opened the beach bar as we had to haul up and down two sets of stairs to get to the pool bar. The bartender, Amy, was a gem. Fun and friendly and made our drinks just the way we like them!

One suggestion is a cocktail lounge as they only have a couple of casino bars.

I have already booked my vacation for August. Harrah's is the perfect place to relax and gamble!

Room Tip: make sure you book a deluxe room as the classic are not remodeled

I am a returning guest who has stayed here numerous times. This time I was here for 10 nights so that's enough time to get the feel of a place. They are busier now than in recent years so I found most mornings the water wasn't very hot on the eighth floor. Wi-Fi is $11 a day and the speed was acceptable. Housekeeping could've been better… there were long black hairs in the bathroom and I have short grey hair. Twice housekeeping failed to leave any plastic cups and one day the ice bucket was left with melted water still in it. I think management needs to read the riot act to housekeeping and tell them to smarten up. Also, they're still running too many tour buses into here. If you time it wrong, you can have a long, long, long wait to use the elevators.

Stayed Sunday/Monday with dog, so experience was good for the price point. The room was recently renovated upgraded. Pet Rooms on internet say 'non-smoking', but was put into a smoking room slightly odd, but for the price and being its a casino... there's always going to be smoke smell.

Pet relief area is 8'x8' enclosed dirt area.

Non Smoking casino was a nice feature. Food selection was ok.

Close to Lake Mohave.

From check in to check out our stay was outstanding! We had a suite on the 20th floor of the North Tower and it was much more than we expected. The last time we stayed at the Adult Tower and found it to be very comfortable and quiet. It was very spacious, clean and beautiful view. The casino was a great place to play. The machines hit enough to keep you playing through out the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beverage service was very good. The food at the Beach Cafe was very good and the service was great. We have no complaints and look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Vegas.

Room Tip: Rooms on the North Tower were very quiet. The adult tower is also a great place to stay

Since my last visit a few months ago things have improved so slightly. The rooms were cleaner and so was the casino. The buffet has really gone down over the last few years and is expensive as is the Beach Café and the Range Steakhouse prices are outrageous. They do have a decent adult pool and a separate family pool.

Very comfortable beds. Rooms were large, but somewhat spartan. No refrigerator or microwave. Staff was very friendly. Room and hotel were clean, although some refurbishing is needed. A real negative is $10.95 per day for wifi. The buffet is decent, but nothing spectacular, but the prime rib was good for a buffet.
