We have stayed here a few times, and always enjoyed this hotel. It is being remodeled and some of the casino is "off limits". The rooms are nice and clean. The pool is decent and clean, located outside by the Colorado river which is a pleasant way to spend your afternoon. The hotel is more "low key" than some of the other hotels in Laughlin, but that is great for relaxing. If we want a more party atmosphere we walk to the other hotels, which have live music and bars - good exercise!. The River Lodge restaurant is beautiful and affordable. The River Lodge Casino offers free soda/coffee, which was a pleasant surprise! We loved Dotty's Sunday morning before check out. We will continue to stay here and look forward to the renovations.

Room Tip: Ask for river view and pay the extra small fee

I have been to this property many times before and after the remodel. If you like to play slots there are only the newest slots to choose from, as they removed all of the older machines which I don't like. Also as of right now, they have no craps, blackjack, poker, or any table games whatsoever. They did a redo on the Bingo Hall, but for some reason it is on the bottom floor where there is nothing else happening, and the payouts are so small it is not really worth the buy in. There is one good thing happening at the players club however. Free play and points build much faster than any other casino I have been to, and they let you exchange your points for money right at the slot machine, so you don't have to use it as free play which is great. This hotel in my opinion has the best Denny's in all of America. The restaurant is always very clean, food always on time, and prepared as good as can be for Denny's standard fare. Not sure why anybody would have complained about this place, because I go there all the time. The other reviews are correct about the buffet however, as it is rarely open. It was supposed to have been remodeled, opened briefly and now closed again. My main issue with this hotel is that the new owners are not utilizing all of the space in this hotel. It could be great, with all kinds of restaurants and tables, but for some odd reason they don't do anything with the space....just drywall barriers and long hallways. This is also the only hotel that I have ever seen without a cashier cage, they make you go to the bar or front desk. Overall, this place is clean with good player club program, but seriously lacking in options in gaming and dining.

I was made aware of this hotel by the Travel Information stall downtown in Laughlin. So, I gave it a try, and all in all it was fine. Many aspects of this hotel are in transition. I chose one of the older rooms ($34 ... Older TV, non-river view) as I only needed very basic accomodations. Good shower, good toilet in a very large bathroom. Excellent free WI-FI!

My only concern was that the cable was "out" so TV was not happening. I was not made aware of this when I checked in - apparently they are changing over to Direct TV.

I like to watch TV before retiring and when I am getting ready to go out in the morning so this was an issue. I asked about this (Jessie) in the morning and was given a $5 discount on the price of the room. I would go back.

This casino is being remodeled, and much of it was not accessible. But it is easy to see that it will be beautiful when completed. There is a Denneys on the lower level, and a gift shop and another restaurant will be opening. The casino floor was very clean and machines were bright. The players club awards prizes rather than comps- reminds me of Chuck E Cheese. LoL Very interested in seeing this lovely property when the renovation is complete.

I have stayed here several times and each time its gets better. The hotel is under new ownership and management. The transformation has been terrific. Two things that have not changed are:
1. Same wonderful staff
2. Same poor selection of TV channels. Only about 7 watchable choices.

This hotel was a very relaxing place in Laughlin, next to the Harrah's Hotel.

A Denny's restaurant was inside the building, of the hotel, which was a great feature.

The casino is planned out in a very spacious manor, no crowding!!! even a non-smoking area-which we really appreciated.

Room Tip: Good place to get away from the" Hussel & Bussel" of the downtown area.! Deluxe Rive...
