“Will be EXCELLENT and BEAUTIFUL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

This casino is being remodeled, and much of it was not accessible. But it is easy to see that it will be beautiful when completed. There is a Denneys on the lower level, and a gift shop and another restaurant will be opening. The casino floor was very clean and machines were bright. The players club awards prizes rather than comps- reminds me of Chuck E Cheese. LoL Very interested in seeing this lovely property when the renovation is complete.

I have stayed here several times and each time its gets better. The hotel is under new ownership and management. The transformation has been terrific. Two things that have not changed are:
1. Same wonderful staff
2. Same poor selection of TV channels. Only about 7 watchable choices.

This hotel was a very relaxing place in Laughlin, next to the Harrah's Hotel.

A Denny's restaurant was inside the building, of the hotel, which was a great feature.

The casino is planned out in a very spacious manor, no crowding!!! even a non-smoking area-which we really appreciated.

Room Tip: Good place to get away from the" Hussel & Bussel" of the downtown area.! Deluxe Rive...

We love this casino. Clean, open, bright, with a good variety of slots, poker and keno. We like the way the rewards system works as each machine has from a 7 to 100 times multiplier so your points add up fast. You can use them for machine play, cash value, or prizes on their wall. We cant comment on the rooms because we stay at another casino that gives us a comped flight in. The lodge is still revamping some things and that is the only reason we did not give it 5 stars. For sure we will be back.

We spent a couple of days in Laughlin this week and had a chance to check out the Laughlin River Lodge. The main attraction is the same as every other casino but I have to say the folks own have brought the "Dotty's" ambiance to Laughlin in a nice way. The casino is done the way Cracker Barrel might do it if they ever opened a casino in Nevada: lots of cupboard space with nic-naks along the walls, a country farm feel throughout, and a couple of bars that look like old fashioned candy store counters complete with complimentary serve yourself nuts, Hershey's kisses, party mix, and hard candies. Coffee and soda kiosks are also in the gaming areas, along with the usual cocktail servers. But as it is, the place is essentially a big slot house with a bingo hall in a room down below on the river level, so does not yet offer the full Nevada-style casino experience. For a slot palace the casino is nice. The machines are all new, and one of the gimmicks (or perks, depending on your point of view) of the establishment is that most all of the machines offer between 7 and 100 times points, meaning they are looking to build loyalty through their liberal comp point system. My experience after a couple of hours on the machines was that they are no worse, meaning no tighter, than any of the other casinos in Laughlin. But so far, it is just slots and bingo.

The other pluses are the Lodge steakhouse, which has always been one of the better eating establishments in Laughlin (although it did go a bit downhill in the later days of the River Palms Casino, the previous hotel/casino) and the comfortable arrangement of the seating throughout the gaming areas. Most machines have a little coffee table next to them and there are quite a few overstuffed chairs for lounging - something one does not usually see in a Nevada casino. But for me, a casino isn't really a casino with the usual pit games: craps, blackjack, roulette, etc. The bingo hall is exceptionally nice with very comfortable seating, but I hope they soon open the section of the casino closed off and add in the full range of table and it games. The buffet is closed, but looks like it may be reopening soon, and the entire facility is getting a facelift inside and out. Some people staying in the hotel reported the hotel rooms are nice with new bedding and fixtures, and this is I believe the only establishment in Laughlin offering free wifi, but I can only report second hand on the condition of the rooms.

Overall, we was impressed with what they have done so far, and hope they continue to expand into a full casino. We plan on staying in the hotel on our next visit & will be able to report on the hotel more directly.

Here we are Saturday afternoon in the heart of guests wanting to check in to their rooms, only 2 staff members at the reservation counter and a whole line if guest lined up. I was 6th person back and it was every bit of 45 minutes in line waiting. However..... The room was great and shows that positive changes are underway with this hotel. Beds and pillows were the best I've experienced in a while, the bathrooms were outfitted with new towels and a healthy supply of toiletries. The Riverview room we had also contained a nice, huge flat screen TV although channels were limited. All in all a great stay for the price. Unfortunately check in needs to be addressed.

We are disappointed that the "new" Laughlin River Lodge no longer is Pet Friendly.
We have stayed there with our dog when it was River Palms & enjoyed the friendly reception both our dog & we received.
We received a welcoming letter from Craig Estey, Owner, inviting us to stay in March 2015 with complimentary rates however the Hotel no longer being Pet Friendly this was no longer possible. I did E Mail Mr. Estey X 2 but so far have not received a reply.
There are very few Hotels @ Laughlin that are Pet Friendly. Laughlin is a tourist centre with many people travelling with Pets!!!
We hope this Hotel will soon be returned to it's Former Pet Friendly Status.
I visited the Casino on a recent trip to Laughlin. The Renovations to the Casino are great!!

Room Tip: Ask for a River View Room.
