“OK, but not great - hope the remodel helps.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

We've been staying at the CB for DECADES, literally! It's been on a gradual decline for some time and it's nice to see them working on a badly-needed remodel. I sure hope they succeed, because we really want to like them!

Our recent stay was to attend the "Blues and Brew" festival - an annual event for the casino and for me and the wife. Our stay wasn't bad, just several things that were annoying...

There was no "do not disturb" sign in the room, so at 8:00 am (after a late night!) housekeeping wakes us with a really loud knock and shout. GRRRR. The sheets on the beds did not seem to be the correct size or properly placed, so in the morning (after the "wakeup call" I found myself practically bound and gagged.

We requested a room with one of the small balconies but it was a waste - it was right over the kitchen vent from the hotel next door and the smell of cooking/burning food was overwhelming - you could not even leave the door open! Finally, the water in the shower alternated from OK to scalding hot with no warning, really no fun!

We probably won't stay there again as there are better choices in Laughlin these days. I hope they get their act together, and we'll give them another chance, but they have work to do!

Also, be aware there is a $10/day charge for internet access - pretty standard at casinos.

Upgraded a 3 night comp for $25 / night and stayed here for the 2013 Blues & Brews music weekend.
The pros: 3 night comp incl Buddy Guy concert tickets and t-shirts; decent size room w/ balcony overlooking the river.
The cons: bottom sheet too small for the bed (woke up sleeping on bare mattress); no light over vanity; hair dryer didn't work; no safe in room; balcony very dirty w/ spider webs and dead bugs; no screen door for sliding door to balcony so we kept the slider partially open w/curtain sheers drawn at night to avoid using the very loud AC wall unit.
Since we spent most of our time either listening to the free music or at the concert the problems I mentioned above didn't deter us from enjoying ourselves. However, unless we're comp'd we'll stay elsewhere.

What can you do with $40? A room for 3 nights PLUS 3 breakfasts for 2. One breakfast is a sit-down Classical - three eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast. Another is at the buffet. The third is pastries and coffee. Plus coffee every morning. My wife and I splurged to upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the river - $80. This offer is NOT year-round, however. Amenities are the hotel casino aren't top rate, but the price is right. Pool is okay. You can gamble to your heart's (or wallet's) content(s). Pints Brewery is the place to get pizza or other good fare. (IN-N-OUT is across the street. If you're not form California or out west where they exist, you'll have to come and find out what you're missing.) I would also recommend visiting Grapevine Canyon, located 7 miles out of town - a little hiking and petroglyphs. March might be best for that excursion while there's till snow around and flowers are blooming.

Room Tip: A view of the river with a balcony is best if the price is right for you.

I spent 2 nights at the belle and played there for 3 months. living in bullhead city jan, feb, march. i cant believe how understaffed they are. nobody in the sports book mon tru fri. snack bar closed at 7 pm every night. cant get anything to eat unless you stand inn line to get into pints which i ate there once and didnt like it so we went to tropicana across the street and ate and played there instead. since they combined the players club and cashier cage there is always long lines to cash out. this is the poster child for the sign of the times. the bean counters running the show instead of good customer service bringing in and retaining customers.

Room Tip: our room was on the fifth floor facing the river. very nice

Perhaps the remodeled rooms are nicer, but we recently stayed in one of the older ones and it was quite shabby. Really, the entire property is showing it age due to what appears to be a lack of routine maintenance such as painting. . If your room is in the Bourbon tower, it is quite a maze trying to find it. The casino itself is rather small, particularly taking into account how many rooms they have, so it is somewhat cramped in the evenings. The buffet was rather bland, however the food in the brewpub was good. They do offer relatively cheap rooms. If one gets a deal or a comp, it is worth visiting, but if one is paying full price then I would recommend going elsewhere along the river

We have always liked the Colorado Belle. The new beds and sheets really make the room look nicer. The flat screen TV is also a plus. Like some have said , it does seem like they stopped remodeling when they were 1/2 way done with the room. Bathrooms are still very dated ( have hope they will get to them sooner or later ) Also over the years staying here and reading reviews I wonder what is the problem with the hair dryers ??? Ive had to hear it from my sister , my wife , and in reviews what a pain it is not to have a hair dryer in the room. I could see why it took a while to upgrade the TVs ..... TVs cost a lot. But how much could it cost to add the hair dryers to the room ??? Just a thought . The employees are always friendly and the customer service is great

We had a very nice 3 nights stay at Colorado Belle. The place was very clean and the staff was very nice. The rooms have been remodel and the bed was comfortable Also, we had plenty of pillows too. Our maid was awesome so we tipped here and I thought she was going to cry cuz they don't expect tips. She took the timed and cleaned the room. We had a great location on the first floor between the 2 pools and the hot tub was great. Being it was the Reba concert and St Paddy's weekend, the casino area at the Belle and Edgewater was a zoo. So we went next door to the Pioneer to gamble and it wasn't as crowed. We had a great time and no problems getting a drink and won a few bucks too.

Room Tip: The Orleans rooms was very nice and had no problems sleeping. Also a short walk to other casino'...
