This was my first time going to Laughlin and just like others I decided to reviewed hotels. The “Aquarius” hotel seemed like a great and on the WEB SITE ONE was able to get the new remodeled room. THAT is NOT TRUE! DON’T FALL FOR THAT. I reserved our rooms a week head by called the “Aquarius” reservation number, ordered the NEW REMOLDED ROOMS. My family and I got to Laughlin at 5 am Sunday morning, and WHEN I got there, WE DID NOT GET WHAT I ORDERED. We were given the old nasty dirty rooms, and were told “THEY CAN’T GUARANTEE ONE WILL GET THE ROOM THEY ORDER”. I had called 4 TIMES to the hotel and was told i was going to get the NEW ROOMS. That was not the case, Of course I complained. The asst manger saw that I was upset, said she would change our room; however we didn’t get our new rooms until 12 hours later. We had to stay in the nasty rooms. At the end we got our new rooms and they were great. My family and I were able to enjoy the rest of our time at the “Aquarius”.

I was sopposed to stay here 3 nights ago. When I got to my room in the California tower it looked like it had been used for a porn movie. Everything was stained in a way it creeps you out! The furniture is so dirty you just can't believe it! I refused to stay in this room and asked for another one. I was given another one. Same tower and same experience. The toilet in this room was not cleaned and had "shit" (pardon my French) all over it and the toilet paper still in it. Trash bins were not emptyed and contained used condoms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called the manager on duty and she apologised and offered me an upgrade. I got the exact same room on the same floor with a view of the river...When I checked out the bathroom, there was more hair on the floor than I have on my head (and I am not bald!). I went to the front desk, trew my cardkeys over the counter and asked fot the manager, cause 3 strikes are enough for me! She did not want to speak to me, so I called the Planet Holywood resort & casino in Vegas and booked a room there. I didn't mind the 2 hours drive to Vegas. Anything to leave this hotel for good! PH in Vegas is great!!! Go to Vegas and not Laughlin. Aquarius is a joke.

This used to be our favorite hotel in Laughlin when it was the Hilton Flamingo. Since it became the Aquarius, it seems to have been neglected. I red here that they are remodeling so I tried to make reservations direct, but could not confirm a non-smoking river view room in the remodeled section of the hotel. So, I booked our first night at the Golden Nugget (very nice, but no river view) and walked into the Hotel to see if I could lock-in a remodeled river view room in the non-smoking section of the hotel.

We walked in on a Thursday afternoon. There was no line and we walked right up to a friendly, helpful gal at the Front Desk. She was very helpful and indicated that there rooms available that met my criteria. I asked to see one and she tried for almost 20 minutes to get someone to escort us to no avail. I finally gave in and said I would take her word for it and would like to make reservations for the following two nights. She quoted the rack rate of $99/. I said the Hotel’s internet rate was $79/ and she indicated that that rate was not available at the Front Desk, only via an 800 number and the internet. She gave me the 800 number and I called it on my cell. The operator offered a river view room at that rate, but would not guarantee a non-smoking floor. Back to the Front Desk!

New clerk, not so friendly, she actually could care less about the confusion I had encountered and said she couldn’t accept advance (1 day) reservations.

I requested a Manager. The Manager seemed to have the same attitude as her and wouldn’t even come over. We left.

Time passes…½ hour later. We hooked up with our original clerk, told here of the confusion over the phone and she booked a non-smoking river view room for the following two nights at $79/.

The room was recently upgraded, and very nice with a great view. We loved it!

I second that! this place is a Dump! The people that work there do not care if you want to stay there or not, the food service was Terrible, the food itself was not good, the room was dirty in fact the whole casino seemed to be dirty as well as the many of the people that were playing.

As soon as we walked in the casino on our way to check in you could see the place looked dirty and dark.

We booked an adjoining room 6 months in advance but when we checked in they said they didnt have them available. So we accepted 2 rooms for 2 nights on opposite ends of a floor.

Once we got to our room and saw a "folding chair" at the table(desk) and no comforter on the bed, dirty bathroom we new we couldnt stay here for 2 nights. We sucked it up and stayed the first night but went and cancelled the second night and moved down to the "River Bend Casino".... I wish we stayed there both nights, it was EXCELLENT! Much cleaner, brighter, the workers much more friendly way better place.

I played in all the casinos on the strip and River Bend was the best Aquarius was by far the worst!

Words of advise...
DO NOT STAY AT THE AQUARIUS!
