“Great prices, Nice poolside suntanning, The food sucks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2010

This hotel is a great price. We had a room on the 10th floor overlooking the river. We stayed here because my husband is a non-smoker, and hates smoking rooms, and I am a smoker, and it was one of the few places that had balconies. Stepping out of the elevator is a big sign - No smoking on balcony. Also, there is work being done in the North tower from 8am-4pm, and the water is off Tues & Thurs from 11--1. Luckily, we didnt spend much time in the room so weren't bothered. The third floor pool was great to suntan beside but the water was ice cold. The food options in this hotel are few and far between. Nothing we had was very good. We ended up walking down to restaurants down the strip for food. They are in the process of redoing carpet-moving out machines starting at 9pm roping off areas in the already small casino which was a bit of a pain in the a$$. The internet is $8.99 for 24hrs and is sooooo slow. They do have many amenities - a movie theater, a bowling center, bingo, etc. I'd say the average age of guests at this location is 50+.

I stay here because i like the car show, riverview restaurant, and the bars. The bartenders are always nice. But the rooms are about 50 to 60 bucks, but i dont see the value.
My bathroom had hairs on the floor, and HUGE river bugs, which i have never seen at the other hotels. They are more like 20 dollar rooms, they seem worn, and not very clean. Dont get me wrong they are not bad, but just not worth the money, when there are places near by that are much cleaner for less!

My wife, her brother and his wife and I stayed at the Riverside from April 12th to the 16th. This was our sixth stay and like all of the rest we found everything great. The food, the rooms, the service were all perfect. The employees are always helpful. Our last stay in October of 2009 we had 16 families members with us and they all enjoyed themselves.
I suppose if we went out of our way to look for problems we may have found them but we didn't. Mr Laughlin runs a very good hotel/casino. Didn't make any money but that is why they call it gambling. Seen Sha Na Na which was one of the best shows we have ever seen.
Will be back in the fall of 2010.

We've stayed at the Riverside for 30 years worth of vacations, but the quality has cheapened considerably over the last few years. The rooms are too warm, and the AC isn't adequate, plus, you need your key card to operate it. Prices and room rates have risen, and things have become shabby and in ill repair. We spent our last visit with a broken toilet! I'm assuming Don Riverside is no longer in charge, and it shows. Going to AVI from now on...

Tight machines, rooms are fair, service fair. Don't waste your money at the the Prime Rib House. What a joke! $15 gets you crappy cut of meat, iceburg lettuce, and instant potatoes. Spend $5 more for a great meal at the Outback next door at the Aquarious. Machines pay better, atmosphere and staff are much nicer and rooms are WAY nicer. The rooms at the Aquarious are usually less expensive too. I frequent Nevada/Vegas area a lot. Personally, I prefer to bypass Laughlin all together and drive the extra 90 miles to Vegas but if you like things a little less lively than Vegas, Laughlin's not bad. Just DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Especially if you are under 60 cause you'll be the only one there that is. MAJOR geriatric environment. BORING!!!

Enjoyed our three night stay with a very nice roomy and clean room. Good room service, great food in the two restaurants we ate in and good service. Every one of the hotel staff were very courteous and made you feel welcome. Even though we did not take home any of the casino's money gambling we had a good time. We even took in a movie at one of their theaters where you can take in food and even beer etc. Saw a great floor show also. We try to come here at least once a year and always enjoy it. Valet parking available and it is very safe. Don Laughlin obviously keeps a close eye on his hotel. Food portions generous as our the drinks.

Stayed at the Riverside for 3 night with a charter package. After reading other reviews I did not have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed on the 14th floor of the south tower that features the river view. The rooms were updated and clean. We had one breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. Had some yummy pastries in the morning from the snack area as well. As a casino, I enjoyed gambling/touring at the other hotels, as I found the casino to be so dark and dated.(This did not stop me from still giving them more money than I planned on). Would stay there again.
