“Room not cleaned”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Requested a non-smoking room and room was a room that quest smoked in and room was not fully cleaned. Management changed us to another room that was on the same floor that smelled like smoke as well. Housekeeping lady was rude that had to come back and clean our room stating that it was cleaned.

Room Tip: Make sure your room is clean and that if you request non-smoking that is not a room that guest has s...

I was disappointed that the waterslides were closed all five days of our stay due to high winds. Other than that, this hotel is in an excellent location and has great promotional rates. We were happy with our room.

Room Tip: Request a room on the 18th floor. Then you can use both sets of elevators; one set is for floors 1-1...

We took a quick couples trip for our anniversary. We were upgraded upon check in to a larger room overlooking the pool. The hotel and casino were nice and clean and the rooms were large. The prices were great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was connected to both the Luxor and the New York New York, which was quite nice. The room itself was large and nicely decorated. The only things I would change would be to add a comforter that fit the bed, and to finish the remodel of the bathroom. The vanity was beautifully re-done, however, the wallpaper was outdated and peeling. I would also love to see the replace the outdated shower with a tub. I also wish the pool area stayed open later. After long days of walking the strip and gambling, I would have enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. Other than that, our trip was pleasant and fun. It is on one end of the strip, so we were exhausted with all the walking. We did, on our second day get a 24 hour bus pass, for two, it was $16. All in all I would definitely recommend giving the Excalibur a try.

Room Tip: Although I think any room would be nice, our upgraded king size tower II room facing the pool was ve...

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel twice now. The first time was our first vacation together in 2010 and the second time was Christmas of 2012 when we had our wedding at the hotel. Honestly our wedding wasn't anything special :( The Chapel is nice but it is a Vegas wedding so do not expect too much. In and out in under 30 minutes and no special treatment at the hotel itself. Our second stay was not as good as our first stay with our rooms being downgraded and us having to switch, our credit card getting over charged and way too much smoke. On our first visit it was summer time and the pools were closed every day when we asked why we were told kids were pooping in the pools forcing them to be closed for cleaning - absolutely disgusting! Definitely will be staying somewhere nicer next time we visit.

Room Tip: Tower 2 but book it online not through the hotel when you get there to be saved from hidden fees.

I went in September for a week with my best friend. While not the most luxurious resort on the Strip, It is a Resort. I did use the fitness facility, it was up to date, and had a nice enviroment. Got a massage on their spa, their facility is spotless and both the decor and the amenities were great, and the price competitive. We stayed at a Tower II room, the decor was modern and the size of the room is comfortable, In the 20th room we got the unexpected bonus of a view towards the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. I was fortunate to get excellent service from the front desk, but what earn the 5 point rating from was the ticket will call. I had alredy bought tickets for all my shows, but the lady at the counter subscribed us to M life, and upgraded us for most of our shows, and ended up reimbursing 6 dollars of my original purchase, I don't know if we lucked out with her, but she impressed us by taking her time with us and getting us better seats. We usually bought the day pass for the buffet, we used it and the food was not bad, but we preferred the Luxor's buffet, as it was a bit more upscale. most of the common areas in the hotel are updated and have a nice feel , like the food court and tower II, the casino still have an outdated feel, but i don't know how much updating can be done without disrupting the medieval theme. Dick's Last resort was fun, the food was good, and our "rude" bartender was just great. pool is nice, not like the best pool in Vegas, but still enjoyable. The Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibut are connected by indoors passages, and Tram, but we found the walk from indoors convinient and enjoyable, just feels like a huge mega complex. The 24/7 store , as you may expect is a bit overpriced, but in my opinion, not prohibitively so, and they Had EVERYTHING, so if you needed hygiene products, or just wanted to take a champagne bottle to your room, you could. If you use the Deuce for transport, it stops right on the front door.
I agree with other reviews about how the timeshare pitch people are really somewhat of a nuisance. But well, they are trying to make a living, so it didn't particularly bother me that much. I just politely rejected their offers.
We did a Lot in Las Vegas and wanted to do many other things. This resort was enjoyable to stay in. Maybe , I wouldn't stay here again, in order to diversify and try new places, but I wouldn't discourage anyone to try it, they might just like it fine.

we got to our hotel.immediately got rushed by a person trying to sell us a time share.be leary of this.i mean this happens in all the hotels at the strip.but why do this? it brings down the hotel.i feel sorry for the foreigners coming in.they tried to make it sound that we would get a $300 show for free.well i knew something was up.nothing in vegas is free.no coffee makers or fridge in the room either.took 10 minutes for the secruity to come to ask our neighbors to stop singing at 5 am.they all spoke a different language.we never got our wake up call.heard something talking to me.the phone was on the hook and it was coming from the phone.room tax is out of this world.the bed itself i had was a king.the sheets litterly made me itch.i had small bumps on the my skin.at first i thought it was just the weather in vegas.because i didnt itch when i got home.but i only itched while under the covers.i was here in 97 and 2000.didnt have this problem.i also got the impression that when you eat at the roundtable buffet you would get the band you wear around your wrist for a 24 hour day.but it was only for that day.they should ask you if you want that in the morning ONLY.as that is the better deal.we got it at lunch and dinner.saved us only $4. breakfast buffet-$16.lunch $17 dinner $22.

Good sized clean room with perfectly comfortable beds, big tv, no wifi but i just plugged into their very neat ethernet cable by the tv which was extendable to the table and chairs, a good strong shower only, clean towels everyday of our 14 night stay without fail....the casino is outdated in comparison to newer hotels and has a very distinct vanilla popcorn aroma it probably isn't to everybodys liking but it could be worse. The pool isn't fancy but is adequate for lounging around in the sun and sleeping off a hangover, there is a bar if you need the "hair of the dog". There are alot of touts near exits and reception as well as outside on the walk ways to other near by hotels, they become quite annoying, i just ignored them they seemed used to that.
