Chose Excalibur for attending convention at Mandalay. Was worried that maybe I went too cheap as my flight headed to Vegas. We booked through hotel website a room in tower 2 after reading many complaints about tower 1. Upon arrival, check in took all of three minutes and we headed to the 25th floor opened the door and were amazed at how much value we received for $31 per night. Also loved that you could park very close to tower two elevators. Many Vegas hotels make you walk forever to get from the parking lot to your room.

Only complaint is the $15 resort fee. I understand it but couldn't believe that we didn't receive a USA Today outside our door for this price.

Overall, we really liked Excalibur. Make sure you get tower two.

I was attending the CES and had few choices by the time I reserved my room. I was really afraid that the Excaliber was going to be full of families and kids due to the resort theme and the Disney like Castle appearance. That was not exactly the case. There is the Tournament of the Kings which seems to cater to families with kids but other than that it was just like any other resort/casino. (Especially since they have an all male review , Thunder down Under.). The BeeGees tribute show is at the Excaliber and is quite good. Discount tickets are available at tix4tonight. Don't ever pay full price unless you just can't find a discount.
Make sure you get the coupon book when you register. It includes 2 free drinks in the hotel bars and other discounts. During check-in, the first "non-smoking" room we were given, definitely was not non-smoking. They quickly provided a true, non-smoking room.
Our room was fairly spartan, no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee maker and the furnishings are mid to low tier. The feel is that the place is past its prime and ready for a face lift to compete with the other casinos.
The location is convenient if you want to attend shows at the NY NY, Luxor, MGM, Mandalay or Tropicana. It is at the end of the strip near the airport. There is a tram between the Luxor, Excaliber and Mandalay that reduces some of the walking. The monorail is a long walk through the MGM but you can get to it. Everything is a long walk from the monorail so do it only if you want to experience the ride and you have you walking shoes.
As in other reviews, the price is right. If you want an inexpensive room and you don't plan on spending time in the room, why not.

This resort offers one of the best value for your money wedding package. The Chapel staff is attentive to every detail, well organized and very helpful in making the experience worry-free. The celebrant was most qualified and thoughtful in his pronouncing the wedding rite. The Chapel is beautiful, elegant and chic. The hotel resort is comfortable and offers great rates for wedding parties when getting married at the Chapel. Everyone had great rooms. The Steakhouse at Camelot had a great prix fixe menu that allowed us to treat our guests to a nice dinner after the wedding for a most reasonable price including wine, sides, taxes and gratuities. We wine and dined 9 people for as little over $600. We also enjoyed our lunch the next day at the Italian restaurant Buca where round tables accommodate families quite nicely and the meals are humongous and savoury. We were grateful to have a Starbucks coffee house opened 24hrs right on location. The resort connects easily to Luxor, Mandalay shops and Mandalay Bay, New York New York and other resort shops and casinos a short walk away right on the strip! Parking was plentiful and the Excalibur Casino offered all the games we needed. There even was a bar that had live bands playing every night which made my bachelorette dancing night a lot of fun. It was a fantastic wedding weekend with family and friends at Excalibur. My sister upgraded into a suite at the Luxor to spend the rest of the week in Vegas with her husband. Wish I could have stayed longer. We'll be back!

my experience was wonderful we had a great time with my family .the service was wonderful,the room was very clean and all the people that work there were so friendly.and the price was very cheap and its near to everything.for the kids is amazing because they had a wonderful time.
