I booked a four night stay Thursday thru Sunday at the Sahara Casino before I read the many reviews on this website. After reading many reviews, I was somewhat nervous about what to expect when we arrived. One review I read suggested that we request the Tangiers tower since it had been remodeled and more up to date than the other towers. Upon arrival we waited 15 minutes in line and was helped by a very friendly front desk. There is a $6 mandatory fee per night regardless of what you booked in advance. We went ahead and requested the Tangier tower with no problem or additional cost. I don't know what people expect of a room when you pay 50$ per night. The room was clean and comfortable. It was like staying at a Best Western. Overall the casino was not as run down a reviewers made it sound. It was a very good value for the price. If your looking for luxury book at the Bellagio.

To say the entire place from the lobby to casino, restaurants, and rooms are filthy would be a gross undersatement - with the exception of the pool area; but be prepaired to be charged 6 dollars per day (weather you use it or not) and some mystery charges from the bar. Don't waste your time and energy trying to get these charges reversed - Nobody cares! . Customer service, if you can call it that, was consistant through out - with very few exceptions- Nasty, tired, disinterested, put out, put off, unfriendly, unresponsive, lazy, rude, dishonest and at their best, just didn't care. We did find most dealers to be friendly, but one Black Jack dealer at the dollar table was so aggresive and rude, actually telling us if we didn't like it we could leave. The Pit Boss just stood there while he treated the entire table with disrespect. We were never quite sure what his problem was, but we did obviously leave the table. Clearly we could go on and on about the crappy drinks, the lousy food and the chiropractic services you are sure to need after sleeping on the hard beds, but the bottom line is just DON'T STAY HERE. You are going on vacation and should be able to focus on having fun not worring about walking with a limp from being bent over the entire time by the Sahara!

I stay in this hotel for 3-night during the vacation with my family and my parents. Both room are not face the street so they are comparatively quieter compare with other hotel rooms. The bathroom is clean with plenty of towels, this is very helpful since we have a young kid. The room is clean, not big, but enough space for a couple with kid. The bedding is not brand, brand new, but it is clean and comfortable. The price is great, we got stay 3-night, get $50 deal, which makes the price per night less than $30. The only drawback is the location, a little far from the main street, but you can always try the bus. I will stay it again next time I were there.

We stayed at the Sahara and it was a great deal. The Metrorail was connected right to the hotel which made for a cheap, easy way to get down to the more popular hotel casinos. Its also close to Fredmont street's classic strip,
