“Great Stay in Vegas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

The Tropicana lived up to its reputation of a GREAT HOTEL/CASINO. Our family of 4 (2 boys 15 & 11) arrived @ hotel & was greeted by friendly Valet attendant. He helped us unload our bags & gave us helpful info regarding the hotel.
Proceeded inside & was greeted with an efficient check in. The Tropicana had plenty of staff on hand to move the line quickly. The young man that checked us in was a very kind, professional & accommodating. He asked if this was our first time @ the Tropicana. Since, it was he provided us with 4 complimentary breakfasts for our stay (2 days)
Room was clean, well kept, roomy & comfortable. Beds provided a great nights sleep. View was great. Could not hear our neighbors. Pool was big, clean & lots of fun. 80’s music played.
Breakfast is served in the Beach Cafe. Service fantastic! Lots of food to choose from. You can either order off menu or have the buffet. Chef is ready to make your omelet @ the omelet bar. 24hr Starbucks located in the Tropicana:)
Located across from MGM, Excalibur & the NY NY. RECOMMEND-RECOMMEND-RECOMMEND!

Room Tip: Higher floors if possible.

I stayed here the first week of August in 2012. It was a trouble free stay. Everyone at the resort was helpful and nice. The room was good. It was not great, but nice with no problems. I would like to had time to enjoy more of the resort, but Vegas called.

I did not stay at the Tropicana when I visited Las Vegas but I wish I would have!!!!! I went to the Tropicana to go to the Mob Attraction (which was a blast). We loved the vibe of this casino/hotel so we decided to hang out and gamble. Before we gambled, we stopped by the Tropicana Lounge for a cocktail. OMG!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! It was a true Las Vegas experience. We loved the lounge. We had been in Vegas for a week and this was the first time I can honestly say that we found cocktails that we ENJOYED!!! We will definately stay at the Tropicana the next tine we are in Vegas!

Room Tip: Mob Attraction and Tropicana Lounge

The room was clean, we got an upgrade so we had a fantastic view. All appliances worked, all staff who we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a perfect location. We wish we had more time there to enjoy it.

This is a nice hotel. It's recently remodeled and our room was lovely. It was very noisy if you're on the side of the Dinner/Pool Club next door though. Also, we waited hours to get a room which was unacceptable. If you're coming into town for a day only, I'd skip it. Otherwise, it's a nice alternative and priced more than fairly.

We enjoyed our stay. Room service Ruben was AWESOME !! Ice machine was broken on 15, but 14th floor worked fine. Pool was great, clean and refreshing, good tunes at pool not to loud either. Bed was very comfy. We Will Be Back !!

The Tropicana has sure done some great remodeling in their rooms and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was! I loved my spacious one bed room and it was newly decorated and clean. It was in a quiet wing off the casino and never heard a peep or noise! The walk down the hall to the elevator wasn't long and a short ride to my floor and to my room was easy.

The pool area was under construction but the weather was too cool for swimming, so it wasn't a big deal.

We gambled a small bit downstairs but never won. That is to be expected in Vegas in my opinion.

We stayed for business as we are in the fashion industry and they had shuttles to a couple hotels for our shows. That was really nice since we had to start early and come back late.

The hotel is on the far south side of the strip by MGM, Excalibur, NY NY. If you haven't been to Vegas before you might be surprised how much you have to walk to get to each hotel. The hotels are several city blocks long EACH. Be prepared for a lot of walking or take a taxi as the roads are super busy. You must see the water/light show, and visit the old Fremont Street!
