“Excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

We decided on the Tropicana based on price so I was a little leary on what to expect. I have to say I'm very happy with our decision. It's a great hotel, nicely updated and clean. I love the colorful lights behind the front desk! Our room was larger than I thought it'd be and it had everything we needed. The only drawback was the fact that you have to pay to rent a fridge (I think those should just come with the room nowadays). I would stay here again but I think on my next trip I'll shoot for a hotel in the middle of the strip.

Stayed here in November 2012 with my girlfriend, the place is Awesome!
I emailed Nicole Marshall beforehand to ask for a room in the paradise tower which was granted (high floor too) The hotel is beautiful inside and the renovations are excellent! The staff we encounted were all so friendly and helpful, excellent housekeeping , front desk, food court etc.
Beach Cafe/Restaurant was Excellent. We loved visiting all the amazing hotels on the strip but loved coming back to the Trop!!.
Do yourself a favour if your visiting the amazing Las Vegas and stay at the Tropicana !
Thanks again Nicole.

David. Australia

Room Tip: Paradise Tower for sure

Travelled to Vegas to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and had seen how beautiful the refurbished Tropicana looked last year.Check in was a bit rubbish, we arrived at 9pm after travelling Edinburgh to London to LA to LV - with nearly missed flights and a long long journey..to be told our room wasnt ready and could we come back in half an hour...seriously??!! However, the hotel was beautiful, gleaming white loveliness, beautiful pool area, lovely restraunt. Room was lovely - I think we were in Paradise tower - we were in the main hotel - big room, clean, spacious, most comfortable bed Ive slept in. Downsides - you have to walk through the Casino to get anywhere - to the pool, to breakfast, to the spa - its noisy and smoky - but its Vegas -wouldnt put me off going back. Pool area was lovely but disapointing that we had to pay "fees" when we arrived for using facilities, and half the pool was shut the majority of times we used it.... werent even allowed to dangle our feet in - that was disapointing. Major problems trying to book a day bed, but the hotel did give us a bottle of champagne as apology. In sum - loved the hotel, spotless, comfortable, great location, would be happy to go back.

Room Tip: We were on floor 7 - heard people on floor 2 complaining of casino noise and pool noise - we never h...

Booked for a conference and found our rooms to be very decent except for one thing...the tub had not been cleaned! After 3 calls to front desk, housekeeping then front desk again someone finally cleaned the tub. Good place for conference, beautiful pool but was closed???

Nicole, the guest relations manager, personally took care of my reservation requests and the room was blocked for the busy Thanksgiving period. The rooms are really nice and spacious. We stayed at the Paradise Tower and had a nice view too. The check-in was smooth and quick. The hotel is done up decent. Location is good. 2-3 min walk to the bus stands. Friendly staff.

The only negative experience we had was with the service. We repeatedly requested toothpastes on our 2nd day and didn't get one! Luckily we were carrying ours. Also, TLV representatives, please carry mouthwashes! You guys didn't have any.

All in all, a positive experience. An 8/10. Recommended!

For Thanksgiving Holidays, I stayed in the hotel & casino Tropicana in Las Vegas. I had a pleasant stay there for 3 nights. The crew there are professional and inviting. The hotel's new decroration is attractive with a fresh tropical admosphere which will lure you to stay longer. The room is spacious and clean. The lounges and common areas are tidy and comfortable. The shopping promenade is well-organized but not crowded. The casino is full of fun, but not hustle and bustle. Gambling people are calm and enjoying. Attendants are encouraging but not pushing. I played slot machines and won some money there. What a lucky guy I was! I was self-indulgenced with the exprience there. I happily recommend tourist from all over the world stay in this hotel and casino./Annie O.

This hotel was perfect for us. Opposit mgm and on the strip itself, easy access to all the attractions by foot or by deuce ( the buses that travel up and down the strip) . Lovely comfortable rooms with 2 huge beds, cleaned daily. Theres a choice of resturants and cafes within the hotel, we usually ate out as we were out and about but the breakfast in the bistro was good. Outside, there are grassed garden areas and 2 swimming pools , free loungers and towels. We particularly liked the fact that you could find your room quickley without having to walk miles from the door as in a lot of vegas hotels ! The staff were polite and when we had a missunderstanding over some money i had left on the counter that dissapeared( it turned out that the maid thought it had been left for her) , the management investigated straight away and refunded the money without question, even before they had found out what had happened. We love vegas and when we can afford to return we would certainly stay at the tropicanna again .
