We were far away from family this Thanksgiving, and I wanted to give my kids a special memory, so we spent 2 nights at the Monte Carlo so I could take them to Cirque du Soleil and Adventuredome. I chose the Monte Carlo because of their pools! Yes it was 66 degrees outside, but my kids (ages 12, 9 and 7) couldn't wait to get in the nice warm Lazy River pool. Quite a sight. The lifeguard was wearing a hoody with fur trim, watching a bunch of kids splashing about!

I found the hotel very agreeable. Comfortable room, great location. The buffet for Thanksgiving was really good, although wasted on my typical American kids who wouldn't try any of the varied and delicious dishes offered! Our second night, we asked for a rollaway bed so my son wouldn't have to share a bed with me, and it was delivered promptly; boy, have rollaway beds improved since I was a kid!

My only problem was with how very easy (and FAST!) it was for a 9-year-old to find porn previews on the TV -- wow!!! I'm sure there must be a way to block that stuff but it was too late for me. Also, there are absolutely NO kids' channels on the TV so warn the little darlings that they'll have to miss iCarly.

Vegas can be great for kids if you're diligent about the "adult entertainment". I can heartily recommend "Mystere" as a family show; we all loved it! And I was a little reticent about Adventuredome at Circus Circus, but it was great. This may become our new Thanksgiving tradition!

Good value, but City Center has ruined the view

After a dodgy start when we turned up and they didnt have a room despite having one booked for six months and ending up in a smoking room (we dont so it was foul). We got our high level (31st) strip view room, only the view was of walgreens an angled view of MGM and a wall of glass that's City Center. We paid extra for this and my advice is dont bother if your in the southern wing, the north wing may be better looking at mgm and NY NY.
With the gripe about the room's view over my review gets better, the room was cleaned really well fairly basic but OK, the bed was comfy and the staff were super helpful.
The hotels location is pretty good and has more than enough to do, the tram link is handy too.
All in all i think its great value with clean rooms and helpful staff in a fairly good position (CC is tedious to get by on foot), so I'd recommend it.

I've stayed at Monte Carlo twice. Registration was quite easy on both occassions and the guest elevators are nearby, so you don't have to walk through the casino. Guest rooms are nicely furnished without being flashy. Like Mirage, I find the guest bathrooms small which is a minor annoyance. This might be the easiest hotel to navigate in the city. Service is generally good overall. The only really good restaurant is Andres, but it is actually spectacular. The others are pretty good without being exceptional. The pool area includes a lazy river and wave pool, which are both nice but not as cool as Mandalay Bay. Lance Burton's show here is flat-out excellent. Monte Carlo ranks as a great value in my book. I would stay here again as long as I got a decent rate.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very nice! It is so nice to see a staff that smiles and looks like they enjoy what they are doing.
We were on the 25th floor and the view was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable.
The only complaints on the rooms were the bed spreads both had stains on them. The shampoos/lotions and soaps provided should be upgraded.
Took a long time to get a cocktail waitress when playing the slots and the sports book needs to be updated with more comfy chairs.
The area by Cantina Diablo had a strong rotten egg smell which was then masked by air freshner - not pleasant.
Breakfast was very good, our waitress was great and had good sense of humor. The area above our booth was very dusty.
Overall great value and we had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel.

Helpful employees, clean rooms, quiet. First big trip to myself and husband. Found everything we needed at the hotel. Pool not open due to weather but restaurants, with different price ranges, were convenient.
