“Not bad for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2004

Great location on the strip. Did not hear the running of water that most people have complained about. The room was nice for the most part. We went in July when it was very hot and couldn't get the thermostat to turn down. We had a great view of the strip. People were very curtious. The casino was nice but the slots were tight. Ate at Paris it was very good. The buffet at the MC was horrible would never go back there again. Would go back to vegas again but would probably not stay at the monte not because of the hotel just to get to see other hotels.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo for 3 nights in September. It was the second part of our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is located at a fantastic spot on the strip right next to New York, New York and across the road from the MGM. The reception area is impressive and check in was fast and efficient. Our room on the 19th floor had a brilliant view of the strip and the airport. The room was big and totally spotless. We didn't see the housekeeping staff but our room was always tidy when we returned from a day out exploring.
The Saturday night nightclub in the pub is a must if you are an RnB/hip hop fan. Not too keen on the food court (better places on the strip to eat) but very handy if you get the munchies in the middle of the night. All in all our stay at the MC was fantastic and we would definately return.

The Monte Carlo is the perfect blend of sophistication and fun. I know many people frown upon bringing thier kids to Vegas, but the Monte Carlo provided our little "fishys" with unending amusement during the day. The hotel has a "lazy river" as well as a first class wave pool. Of course, this meant the kids were pretty tuckered out come nightfall.

This is when the Mrs. and I took full advantage of the location. The Monte Carlo is perectly situated on the strip. No high profile destination is outside of walking distance.

The service was great. The location was great. The amenities were great. We would highly recommend the Monte Carlo to any couple and/or (especially) family who may be planning a trip to Las Vegas.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo during our recent trip to Las Vegas. Rooms were well appointed and very spacious. We were on the 30th floor and had a wonderful view of the strip. Whilst in Las Vegas highly recommend catching Celine Dion, its an extrodinary show.

For our second trip to Vegas, we though we would try somewhere different from the previous trip. The last time we stayed at the Luxor and loved it, but it was right out at the south end of the strip. The Monte Carlo is a similar price but better located. The reviews I read on here are correct: THE WALLS ARE THIN!!! We were in a room next to a suite, who held parties every night at 1am to 4am. The screeching was unbearable, they might as well have been in the same room as us. To give the Monte Carlo it's due, when we rang security they did what they could, short of throwing them out. I requested a strip view, which is a bit of a waste of time here, as the accommodation is so far back from the strip, that all you get is an unobstructed view of the casino roof. The buffet breakfast was enormous, of course, but always seemed to us slightly inferior to that at Luxor. It's a nice hotel, don't get me wrong, but with the choices available in Vegas for about the same price, I doubt whether we'll stay there again.

We just got back from a 4 day stay at MC. Overall, it was a great place to stay. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and professional. We had a regular room which was a nice size and very clean. Housekeeping sometimes came twice a day! We were given a room with a pool view but let me tell you that the view included an incredible view of the strip too, directly overlooking the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel. It was beautiful at night. I loved the Lazy River pool - and there were many adults in it. The only downside was that the pool area in general was very crowded. You must go down early to get a good chair. Waitress service at the pool seemed very good. We tried the buffet (very good for breakfast), the pub (nice lunch there) and Andre's French restaurant. Andre's was amazing as far as the food and service. They even surprised us with a special dessert for free. We would definitely eat there again! MC is not as flashy or new as some of the other casinos, but it also doesn't have the large crowds that places like the Venetian and Bellagio do. After visiting those casinos and the "circus-like atmosphere" created by the "in places", I was happy I was staying at the MC. I think we got a great value for our money, and would definitely stay here again!
