“We did not really know what to expect!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

Our first time in LV, we had not realised that every hotel was like a small town or to get to anywhere you have to walk through the casino, we were only staying in LV to get to the part of California we were visiting, so two nights was all we wanted.

However cafe staff were very helpful and obliging but he whole place just aims to free you from your money! Exorbitant charge for ATM. No wifi, no real Internet access - come on this is the 21 st century! housekeeping was sloppy, no coffee the first night only one bottle of water the second though we had paid extra for these amenities, Wired Internet access was available but not possible to use with an IPad. beds not properly made Just the covers pulled up and tucked
In sheets not straightened out
Choice of eating places adequate but again pricey. Maybe we are just not Vegas savvy.

Green Features: Don't think they had any, except towel re use, no recycling facilities obvious

nice hotel surrounded by nice hotels! as far as the room goes ours was ok - we had a view of New York (albeit from the back) The hotel was well located on the strip and made a good base for seeing Las Vegas.

Room Tip: Fat Burger across the road - nice place - well priced beers.

Good hotel in a great location. Easy to navigate from here and the monorail is very useful to take you up to the Bellagio. This hotel also has a bus stop right outside. Close enough to everything without it being too crazy.
There is a great pharmacy/ one stop next door which sells water and other things that you may need.
Rooms are spacious and have everything you need including a coffee maker. Free wifi in lobby.
Casino is large and there are plenty of ATM machines - although they do charge about $5 per transaction.
Can't fault it.
We did eat in the hotel twice. The dragon noodle company (I think it's called) had a great meal and it was fairly reasonable price wise. We also ate in Brand the steak place which had good food, but was totally overpriced and the service was lazy. So much so that I asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill (it was 18%). I wouldn't eat here again.

Go to the pool. It's family friendly. Kids love it. They have a regular pool, a wave pool, a (totally awesome) Lazy River--really, it is awe and some--and a jacuzzi-ish thingamabob.

Use the valet service. They smile, they help, they treat you like a VIP. Plus, you don't have to do anything but get out of your car and then get back into it (with a little food, gambling, perhaps some beverages, and sleeping in between).

Tip well. Everyone on the MC team deserves it.

Order lots of drinks at the pool. Lots.

Room Tip: If you're a reader, bring an extra reading light or two. Otherwise, enjoy the view!

A lot of the reviews says to slip a $20 between your passport and this will guarantee an instant upgrade. Well to be honest it offends them and they are not allowed to accept. Be honest and ask flat out can we get upgraded, If there is availabilty they will do it for you. We really wanted a Spa Suite but it was fully booked, we were there for our anniversary, they upgraded us to a higher room facing the strip. The room was excellent we got a king bed, and it was non smoking, Lots of reviews complain about torn wallpaper, worn out furniture, what do you expect they get hundreds of thousands of guests coming and going every few days. Of course there is going to be dings and dents but generally things are clean and kept up. If there was any issues they were right on it. This hotel is easy to navigate around, it has a built in food court for those who want a quick bite, The casino is well ventilated, and the pool area has a hot tub, and a long cool pool area, a lazy river, and a volleyball court. It is convenient to get around to other places, its handy as across the street is a Ross Dept store with very reasonable priced clothing and shoes, there is a bus stop serviced by the Deuce. CVS pharmacy is next door if items are needed.

Centrally located and part of the M experience (MGM Group) I begrudgingly went along with the gang.
The rates are low but the 'resort fee' of $20/day which gives you access to the pool, sorry not your own food or booze, and limited connectivity is a bit of a ripoff.
Old hotels didn't anticipate the need for wireless and multiple and easy power outlets...who knew?
The included spa was an insult compared to newer properties.
Next time I would shop for deals at Aria and up rather than Monte Carlo and down regardless of family pressure.

Recently spent a Friday night at this hotel, largely because of the favorable reviews. I was glad it was only one night. Regarding the other reviews, the only thing I can say is "different strokes for different folks." If you are over 25, in mind or body, do yourself a favor and stay down the road at the Wynn, Encore or someplace at that level. You'll spend just a little more money for a much more upscale experience. If, on the other hand, you like hundreds of lounge chairs literally touching each other side-by-side around over crowded swimming pools brimming with old children who have had way too much to drink, then this is the place for you. And the "Spring Break" scene doesn't end at the pools: it continues throughout the hotel in the bars, restaurants, elevators, hallways, etc., etc.

Room Tip: Inquire how much of the Strip is actually visible from that "Strip View" room that you pai...
