“What a hotel!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

The Venetian was everything we expected and more. GOOD TO KNOW - There is a hotel shuttle bus every 1/2 hour costing $7.00 each, we didn't know this arriving and a taxi cost us $25.00. When we arrived we upgraded to a Strip view, which was well worth the extra $150.00, each morning we would sit at our window with a coffee and watch Vegas go by. Excellent shops/bars/restaurants. Although the shops were not for us (not into labels) it was interesting visiting them. You can find a restaurant to suite all tastes and pockets. We saw two shows 'Rock of Ages' & 'Vegas The Show' both were excellent but don't expect it to fill the night they were both under 2 hours. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, there is a lot to see. The only time we left the Strip was to visit The Freemont Experience, YOU HAVE TO SEE IT. My one tip would be to have photo id on you at all times.

Dear Guest,

There is a wide array of hotels and resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, and I am so thankful that you chose to experience what The Venetian has to offer. I appreciate the tips that you have provided our fellow travelers. We are indeed quite large as we strive to provide an exclusive experience to our guests with endless possibilities - unique attractions, delectable restaurants, divine shopping and multiple pools throughout all three towers. I am happy that you were able to enjoy to many aspects.

Thank you for your insight, and I look forward to your return visit.

Kind Regards,

Rooms are outstanding and they are more than affordable (compared to any other 5* in the world). But vegas is famous to offer gorgeous hotels at reasonable price.
Kitsch enough to be in las vegas, is by the way full of taste and quality (more than Cosmopolitan, mirage, aria etc etc).
Top reataurants: bastianich+tao+lavo
Very poor pool space (umbelievably overcrowded): just in case try at 10th floor
NO free water & coffe in the rooms (and this is really absurd 4 a 5*)
GYM only paying extra 40usd per person (and this is definately absurd for a 5*)
E'il top del kitsch senza mai essere trash. Andate, decisamente e'il top. qualche neo c'è', ma a quel prezzo si può fare. Mangiate almeno un hamburger da B&B (bastianich), merita.

We stayed in this hotel in 2007 and viisted again July 2014. We travel a fair bit, but this has always been our favourite hotel. It had a lot to live up to and we hope we would not be disappointed. We stayed in the Bella suite and it was just as we had expected. The pure size of the room is astounding enough. Having the lower sitting area, is a real treat. Our view out was ok, we could just about see the Mirage, but to be honest, he didn't pay for the view. The beds are just so comfortable we could just live in them. Dont touch the water and treats as they are all weighted and picking them up will charge them to your room even if you dont eat or drink them. To their credit the check in staff do confirm this to you. Check in and out is pretty quick to be honest and painless. The rest of the hotel is just beautiful and opulent, it hasn't changed much since we were last there, but it hasn't aged either. Were we disappointed, of course not its just the best.

We stayed here 5 days in June this year for our 10 yr wedding anniversary..hummm, ok The good--gorgeous lobby, huge rooms, great location, shopping and restaurants, lovely Venetian theme, but that's all it is, themed, not the real Venice. Then again, there is also plenty of ice, no language barrier and king sized mattresses verses 2 twins pushed together. I have to say the best part of the Venetian was the bathroom, the skinny mirror on the wall and the chicken salad on sourdough in the lobby restaurant! The worst part was the crowds you cannot escape, loud music and no peace outside, the intense awful heat, the sad gamblers, the tour groups, loud drunks all night long in the lobby, the very cheesy gondola ride and not one shady place to sit by the pools unless you pay $25 pp min food and drink to sit in the club area where they blast music! It doesn't make the pool areas too inviting. The best 2 parts of the trip was a day trip to the Grand Canyon to go whitewater rafting and take a helicopter ride....expensive and tiring but totally worth it! That was worth the trip to Vegas. The 2nd was hand feeding an adult male lion in Henderson, NV

Room Tip: Ask for a room up high to block out the pool music all day!

The Venetian was everything we had hoped for! From the moment we entered the hotel until we left we were treated well. The staff was helpful and friendly. Since we did not plan on using WiFi or the gym, didn't need a newspaper, free cup of coffee or our boarding pass printed, I requested at check-in that the resort fee be waived. The clerk initially said that in order to use the pools, the resort fee had to be paid, but I told her she was misinformed about that. She got permission from her manager and the fee was waived. We used the pools just fine.
We stayed in a King Luxury Suite and it was absolutely beautiful. We opted not to stay in the King Luxury View Suite and we used the extra money on a fun show! On the 11th floor, our view was over a rooftop, but the mountains and buildings in the background were wonderful. The bathroom is large, with a lovely soaking tub and separate shower. It is true that all of the snacks and drinks in the refreshment center in the sunken living room are on sensors. If you move them in any way, it is assumed you have consumed them and you will be charged. The clerk did tell us this when we checked in. But no worries.....go to Walgreen's which is just outside The Venetian...it is actually a grocery/drugstore with fresh fruit, milk, coffee, sandwiches, snacks and liquor!
Upon check in you will be directed to "Passaporto", a free app for your iPhone filled with discount coupons for restaurants, shops and the gondola ride.
The hotel itself is enormous with gorgeous painted ceilings. The Canal Shop area makes you feel like you are walking outside through the streets of Venice...charming! The casino is bright and although people are smoking, it is not smoky at all. We felt that the slots didn't really pay out so well compared to other casinos, but we had fun anyway.
We loved it here and will be returning to The Venetian.

Dear landv09,

Thank you for choosing The Venetian as host for your recent visit to Las Vegas and for taking the time to share your experience. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I must agree with the view - the magnificent mountain views from your suite makes for a very unique experience. It is definitely within the intricate, personalized details that make experiences here unique, and we are so glad that you have been able to experience the charm of The Venetian- we're your very own Italy right here in Las Vegas!

I look forward to your return visit, and The Venetian being your home away from home.

Every element of the hotel was brilliant! The selection of restaurants and shops was brilliant. I have stayed in other Las Vegas hotels and The Venetian is by far one of the best. The only thing that I can fault was finding a bit off pepperoni on the bedroom floor when we initially arrived...bizarre but these things happen. Apart from that cleanliness was excellent. Security was also very thorough 24/7 which made you feel very safe.

Room Tip: The Piazza suites are really spacious
