At check in we were upgraded to a magnificent suitet for no reason at all. The hotel staff throughout were friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful, expensive property but helps me forget that Las Vegas is a tacky town.

We stayed here for five nights whilst we were in Vegas for our wedding in September and found the hotel to be of a high standard.
Check in was busy but the staff worked efficiently and we were soon in our room. The suite was lovely, clean and very spacious with a gorgeous bathroom and good views of the strip and the Mirage over the road. We also had free Wi-Fi which was a bonus.
We found concierge very helpful and informative and ideal for booking shows and restaurants.
Breakfast was very good, reasonable choice and food was of a good quality. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful.
We only spent a short time in the casino, but whilst there we noticed there was maintenance work being carried out in certain areas which restricted use of some machines, but not too much of an issue.
Would definately stay at the Venetian if we return to Vegas.

We stayed a couple of nights in the Venetian. First impressions- enormous hotel, cavernous lobby, and an airport style queue to check in! The staff were polite and efficient, and helped with the luggage, though only after we had checked in. (They also helped us make some reservations and bookings later).

The room itself was beautiful, overlooking the pool area and with a (mostly) unobstructed view of the hills beyond Las Vegas.

The casino is absolutely massive, and there's games to suit most budgets. The hotel gives you $20 worth of complimentary chips each to start you off, then you're on your own! The casino can swallow at least a few hours of your evening, and quite enjoyable.

All in all, the hotel has nice rooms and a nice casino but don't go there expecting personalised service!

We just returned from five nights at the Venetian for our Christmas getaway. We had a nice king suite on the 10th floor of the Venezia Tower but sadly it looked onto a construction site for a mega ferris wheel and endless parking lots. This was our "upgrade". We failed to ask about the view. Still the accommodations were quite luxurious and the bed was about the most comfortable we've ever experienced. The deep Roman tub was used daily and the separate shower had a generous shower head with two additional jets coming out on either side of the faucet. It was heavenly. What bothered us were occasional sulphur smells coming from the shower drain. As well, there was a smell of urine in the small room housing the toilet. It looked impeccably clean but the odor persisted. For a five star hotel, this was disappointing.
The room had two large wall mounted TV's, one in the bedroom and the other in the sunken living room. They were Samsung with exceptionally clear reception and picture quality. A TV in the bathroom would have made the long tub soaks a bit more accommodating. We were told this room had just been refurbished.
The closet was very small but the dresser had plenty of drawer space. There was a wall safe in the closet.
In the desk there was a 3 in 1 printer, fax, scanner. We had considerable difficulty getting our laptop to find the drivers for the HP Officejet 4620. Download it before you visit!
There is a daily $20 "resort fee" which seemed excessive considering we really didn't get any additional service other than an internet connection. It was too cold to enjoy the gardens and pools (all outdoor).
We love to play the slots. We are not big gamblers but still enjoy the fun. We noted that it was very difficult to get drink from the floor waitresses. They seemed to be few and far between. The temperature in the casino was too high and very uncomfortable for the entire time. We mentioned it several times to the floor managers. We went next door to the Wynn and found it much more comfortable and less smoky.
In July we stayed at Palazzo and found the room much more spacious, clean and comfortable.
We are several meals at the Grand Lux Cafe and we just love the place. My wife had the spaghetti with shrimp and clams. It was one of the best dishes she has ever had. My "joy" was the Kobe burger. It was juicy and bounding with flavor. The Greek salad is highly recommended. The olives were delightful and the dressing was not excessive and perfectly blended.
"Carnevino" restaurant in the Plazzo was superb and will be reviewed under restaurants.
On Christmas Eve we attended the "Mannheim Steamroller" concert in the Palazzo Theatre. The music was so much fun and so uplifting. What was odd was amateurish choreography that often seemed to have no connection to the music e.g. a young man doing tricks with a large ring. It was distracting in contrast to the beautiful music.
We visited the Da Vinci exhibit in the main lobby. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learned so much about the great man. The reconstructed models bring to life so much of the genius of Da Vinci. The extensive display of the Mona Lisa is truly fascinating. Discount tickets are available from the concierge.
All in all, a good visit. Next time we will likely return to the Palazzo. Is the Venetian showing a bit of age?
